The track belt is in a track belt tunnel that extends from behind the engine to a rear portion of the snowmobile. The exhaust system includes an exhaust pipe that extends from an exhaust outlet of the engine to the track belt tunnel. At least one exhaust outlet is located within the track belt tunnel at a position within the inner circumference of the track belt.
