  • Publication number: 20190153781
Abstract: A window frame assembly incorporating a structure for containing an emergency ladder, the ladder contained within a compartment in the lower portion of the window frame assembly. The ladder is connected directly to the structure of a building by a structural attachment, the structural attachment having connection points so that the weight of a user of the ladder is supported by the building structure. The compartment opens into the living or working area of a building, and has a removable cover. The window assembly is installed as a unit once the structural attachment is affixed to a building structural member in the bottom of the framed window opening.

  • Patent number: 8628399
Abstract: A gaming system and method allowing use of three dimensional objects in a wagering game. The three dimensional object includes multiple sides which are viewable by a player. Each of the multiple sides includes a symbol. An active payline contains one of the symbols. The symbols contained by the active payline are used to represent a randomly-determined result from the wagering game.

  • Publication number: 20120169040
Abstract: A ferrule arrangement for use in sealing connections to gas chromatography columns includes a generally tubular metal ferrule with an axial bore to receive a fracturable column with a protective coating. The ferrule has a forward part that tapers to a tip region of the ferrule. A generally tubular former has a socket portion to receive the ferrule and further has an internal conical surface that, after such receipt, engages the forward part of the ferrule. A portion is provided on either or both of said ferrule and the former by which the ferrule and former may be directly or indirectly relatively moved together by application of finger force.

  • Publication number: 20040175712
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for identifying activators of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and for identifying nucleic acids encoding the receptor(s) for each identified activator. The present invention is directed at the generation of GPCR-encoding nucleic acid pools for expression in oocytes, the generation of compound pools, and the multiplex screening of both the compound and nucleic acid pools. Through successive subdivision of both the compound and nucleic pools into subpools, both activators and GPCR nucleic acids are identified from complex compound and receptor repertoires.
