  • Patent number: 12044785
Abstract: System includes one or more processors configured to receive location data from a device communication unit and from at least a first communication unit and a second communication unit that are positioned relative to a vehicle. The location data includes a device spatial location of the device communication unit, a first spatial location of the first communication unit, and a second spatial location of the second communication unit. The one or more processors are further configured to determine a vehicle spatial location of a designated point of the vehicle. The one or more processors are further configured to generate a virtual model. The virtual model, when used by a positioning system to locate the vehicle, indicates the vehicle spatial location relative to an estimated location of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11933905
Abstract: A method is provided that may include receiving a global navigation satellite system (GNSS) signal for a moving vehicle and obtaining a position estimation of the vehicle by inputting values of observable characteristics into an artificial intelligence (AI)-based model and receiving the position estimation as an output from the AI-based model. The AI-based model applies different coefficients to the values of the observable characteristics to output the position estimation. The method may also include calculating an error between a location derived from the GNSS signal that may be received and the position estimation obtained from the AI-based model, and changing one or more of the coefficients applied to the observable characteristics in the AI-based model based on the error that is calculated.

  • Publication number: 20240028046
Abstract: A system is provided to initialize a vehicle for movement under or with the protection of a vehicle control system. The system may determine a sensed location of a vehicle based off one or more location signals received from an off-board source, and calculate a location of the vehicle responsive to the vehicle moving into a blocking structure where the vehicle does not determine the sensed location of the vehicle based off the one or more location signals. The calculated location of the vehicle may be calculated using one or more sensor outputs. A route is selected from among several routes within the blocking structure based on the calculated location. The selected route is communicated to a back-office system, and movement of the vehicle is controlled using one or more control signals received from the back-office system that are based on the route that is selected.

  • Patent number: 11754725
Abstract: A vehicle location and control system determines a signal-derived separation distance between antennas disposed onboard a vehicle based on signals received by the antennas from an off-board source. The system determines an input-derived separation distance between the antennas based on input offset distances of the antennas from a designated location on the vehicle, determines a difference between the input-derived separation distance and the signal-derived separation distance, and activates or deactivates an automated route identification system that determines which route of several different routes that the vehicle is disposed upon based on the difference that is determined.
