Abstract: A web-based platform application for managing rules of a programming object is described. The platform application receives, from a client device, a definition of a product via a web page of a product configuration platform. The definition identifying attributes of the product. The platform application provides a rule configuration template in the web page of the product. The platform application receives entries in the rule configuration template. The entries indicate values for corresponding rule attributes of the rule configuration template. The platform application forms a product rule configuration based on the entries in the rule configuration template, and generates the programming object based on the definition of the product and the product rule configuration.
