  • Publication number: 20160189274
Abstract: A system may include a feature detector, an information gatherer, a trend identifier, a fashion database, a preference identifier, and a recommendation engine. The feature detector may analyze images including visual data showing apparel. The feature detector may determine characteristics of the apparel. The information gatherer may identify non-visual data related to the images and may derive non-visual details related to the apparel. The trend identifier may identify defined trends embodied by the apparel based on the characteristics of the apparel. The fashion database may store and categorize fashion metrics of the apparel, including the characteristics, the defined trends, and the non-visual details related to the apparel. The preference identifier may identify fashion preferences of a customer. The recommendation engine may present a fashion recommendation to the customer based at least in part on a comparison of the fashion preferences of the customer and the fashion metrics.

  • Publication number: 20160189149
Abstract: Systems and methods for authentication of users based on biometrics and determination of group characteristics based on biometrics are provided. Biometric profiles of users, which include reference biometric data for behavioral patterns and/or physiological characteristics, are stored in a biometric system. A biometric capture device captures a biometric sample that includes a representation of one or more biometrics of a user. The biometric system determines biometric data from the biometric sample and compares the biometric data with the reference biometric data. The biometric system may authenticate the user based on the comparison alone or in combination with other authentication techniques. Further, for biometric samples that include a representation of biometrics for a group of users, the biometric system may determine a group characteristic from the biometric sample and provide services relevant to the group.

  • Publication number: 20160165989
Abstract: A system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for simulating the fit of a particular garment on a user using a fit simulation garment. The fit simulation garment is wearable by a user and comprises a plurality of actuators configured to simulate tightness of regions of the particular garment. The method includes receiving a garment fit model defining the fit of the particular garment on the user. The method further includes parsing the garment fit model to generate control data for controlling the fit simulation garment, and transmitting the control data to the fit simulation garment to cause the plurality of actuators to collectively simulate the fit of the particular garment on the user.

  • Publication number: 20160165988
Abstract: A system comprising a machine-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for collecting body measurements of a human user using a body measurement garment is provided. The body measurement garment comprises a plurality of sensors configured to produce a set of output data. The method may include receiving the set of output data from the body measurement garment and determining a plurality of body measurements from the output data. The method may further include generating a body shape model representing the shape of the body of the user. The method may also include generating a garment fit model representing the fit of a garment on the human user.

  • Publication number: 20160171583
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for determining a clothing size of a child. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include obtaining at least one image of the child, and deriving one or more previous body measurements from the at least one image. The method further includes determining one or more current body measurements of the child based on the previous body measurements, and using the one or more current body measurements to determine the clothing size of the child.
