  • Patent number: 6588869
Abstract: A printer includes a housing which has a user access surface. Attached to the housing is a printer which includes a paper path. The printer also includes a paper input tray and a paper output tray. Both the paper trays are accessible from the user access surface. The user access surface also has an access panel within the user access surface. The paper path is positioned within the housing so that it is accessible through the access panel. The printer cartridges which contain the material used to make an image on the paper, such as a toner cartridge for use with a laser printer or one or more ink wells for use with an ink jet printer, are also positioned within the housing of the printer so as to be near the user access surface. The printer cartridges are accessible through the access panel. Optionally, the printer cartridges could also be accessed through a special panel in the user access surface.

  • Patent number: 6396480
Abstract: An entertainment system has a personal computer as the heart of the system with a large screen VGA quality monitor as the display of choice. The system has digital satellite broadcast reception, decompression and display capability with multiple radio frequency remote control devices which transmit self identifying signals and have power adjustment capabilities. These capabilities are used to provide context sensitive groups of keys which may be defined to affect only selected applications running in a windowing environment. In addition, the remote control devices combine television and VCR controls with standard personal computer keyboard controls. A keyboard remote also integrates a touchpad which is food contamination resistant and may also be used for user verification. Included in the system is the ability to recognize verbal communications in video signals and maintain a database of such text which is searchable to help identify desired programming in real time.

  • Patent number: 6181262
Abstract: A keyboard scan code snooper device comprises a microcontroller, a display, and an oscillator. The scan code snooper may be attached to the data and clock lines of a keyboard serial interface connecting a keyboard with a computer in a pass through configuration. The firmware in the microcontroller processes the snooped data transmission from the keyboard to the computer and vice versa, and generates signals appropriate to drive the display.

  • Patent number: 5101360
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically slip forming concrete having a movable frame for moving in a first direction over concrete to be formed into a desired shape. The movable frame has a longitudinal centerline generally aligned with or parallel to the first direction. A crown forming structure is attached to the frame for selectively producing a desired crown on the concrete being so formed. The crown forming structure includes a left segment pivotally attached on an inner portion thereof, along an axis generally near to and aligned with or parallel to the longitudinal centerline of the movable frame. The crown forming structure also includes a right segment pivotally attached on an inner portion thereof, along an axis generally near to and aligned with or parallel to the longitudinal centerline of the movable frame. A transition adjusting device is provided for selectively raising and lowering said inner ends of the right and left segments for controlling the crown forming structure.

  • Patent number: 4679323
Abstract: A rotary type nibbler comprising a spindle having a helical groove, the spindle being rotatable in a body which terminates in a flat workpiece engagement face which is at an angle with respect to the axis of rotation approximating the helix angle of the groove so that the edge of a workpiece when urged into engagement with the root of the groove will have cut from it a crescent shaped slug.
