  • Publication number: 20210107845
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a composting device including a housing defining an interior with an access opening providing access to the interior, a composter bin located within the interior and in communication with the access opening, and a cover slidably mounted to the housing and slidable along a sliding path between opened and closed conditions to selectively open and close the access opening. A seal assembly comprising a seal depending from one of the cover or the housing and a sealing surface provided on the other of the cover or housing about the access opening. The seal arranged such that a space between the seal and the sealing surface decreases as the cover is slid from the opened to the closed condition, and the seal abuts and compresses against the sealing surface in the closed condition to seal the cover relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 10423943
Abstract: Provided herein are systems and methods for generating a set of recommended media works based on an identified seed media work. The seed media work is used to identify a set of co-occurring media works, which are defined as media works that have been intentionally interacted with within a predetermined time window as the seed media work by a single user. After the co-occurrence set is created, it is ranked and filtered. Media works identified in the co-occurrence set may then be selected based on their ranking.

  • Patent number: 10311395
Abstract: An inventory data management system manages information related to items, such as implants, used during a medical procedure. The inventory data management system includes multiple sensing devices for reading set identification information from a container in which the set of items is disposed. The sensing devices are connected to a communication network and are placed in multiple locations, where each location is associated with a particular status of the set of items. The system also includes an inventory management computer that executes an inventory management application for receiving the set identification information from the communication network, and associating the set identification information with set status information based on the location of the sensing device that read the set identification information. • Patent number: 10113414
Abstract: Methods for drilling a second well in a spatial relationship to a first well include positioning a magnetic field source in a first well or borehole and deploying at least two magnetometers in a second well or borehole. The magnetometers are separated by a known distance and each measure the magnetic field created by the magnetic field source that is located in the first borehole. The magnetic field measurements are used to calculate the locations of the two magnetometers with respect to the magnetic field source. The two locations define the axis of the second borehole with respect to the magnetic field source in the first borehole.

  • Patent number: 9953634
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for passive training for automatic speech recognition. An example method includes utilizing a first, speaker-independent model to detect a spoken keyword or a key phrase in spoken utterances. While utilizing the first model, a second model is passively trained to detect the spoken keyword or the key phrase in the spoken utterances using at least partially the spoken utterances. The second, speaker dependent model may utilize deep neural network (DNN) or convolutional neural network (CNN) techniques. In response to completion of the training, a switch is made from utilizing the first model to utilizing the second model to detect the spoken keyword or the key phrase in spoken utterances. While utilizing the second model, parameters associated therewith are updated using the spoken utterances in response to detecting the keyword or the key phrase in the spoken utterances. User authentication functionality may be provided.

  • Patent number: 9894810
Abstract: In one example, a data center may be built in modular components that may be pre-manufactured and separately deployable. Each modular component may provide functionality such as server capacity, cooling capacity, fire protection, resistance to electrical failure. Some components may be added to the data center by connecting them to the center's utility spine, and others may be added by connecting them to other components. The spine itself may be a modular component, so that spine capacity can be expanded or contracted by adding or removing spine modules. The various components may implement functions that are part of standards for various levels of reliability for data centers. Thus, the reliability level that a data center meets may be increased or decreased to fit the circumstances by adding or removing components.

  • Patent number: 9360581
Abstract: A method for drilling a well includes applying a current across a drill collar that surrounds an internal magnetometer. The current travels across the drill collar and along one or more other current paths to return to the drill collar. The method also includes using the magnetometer to measure magnetic fields due to the current being applied across the drill collar and the current across one or more other current paths while the drill collar is disposed at a first angle of rotation and rotating the drill collar to a second angle of rotation. The method further includes measuring the magnetic fields using the internal magnetometer while the drill collar is disposed at the second angle of rotation and determining a relationship between the current across the drill collar and a portion of the magnetic fields due to the current across the drill collar measurable by the internal magnetometer.

  • Patent number: 9360580
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for making directional measurements toward a formation of different resistivity that is proximate to the borehole, but which is not penetrated by the borehole. The methods and apparatus include the use of at least one insulated gap and at least one magnetometer positioned within a non-magnetic housing that is disposed within a non-magnetic tubular. An electric current is applied across the insulated gap, which results in current leaking into the surrounding formations. When a formation of contrasting resistivity is proximate to the logging apparatus, the magnetometer detects a secondary magnetic field due to the contrasting formation. The direction of the secondary magnetic field can be used to determine the direction to the contrasting formation. The magnitude of the secondary magnetic field can be used to determine the distance position to the contrasting formation.
