  • Patent number: 10250318
Abstract: Embodiments are described for a machine and process that include a computer code specially programmed on a non-transitory medium to change an altitude, of an aircraft that remains certified for flight by a pilot, such that the aircraft contains an altimeter having a fixed altimeter setting. The computer code may be configured to: receive an assigned altitude and a barometric pressure for a location of the aircraft; determine a differential between a height above mean sea level indicated on an altimeter using the new barometric pressure for the location of the aircraft and a height above mean sea level indicated on an altimeter based upon the fixed altimeter setting; modify, based upon the differential, a flight planned altitude for the aircraft, to create a pilotless altitude; send the pilotless altitude to the aircraft; and fly the aircraft at the assigned altitude via commanding flight at the pilotless altitude.

  • Patent number: 9680947
Abstract: Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems receive a first plurality of actions from a first entity with respect to a first plurality of objects. A global object related to each of the first plurality of objects is determined and a representation of the global object is displayed in association with a representation of the first entity. Additionally, in response to receiving user feedback on the representation of the global object displayed in association with the representation of the first entity, an instance of the global object that is unique to the first entity is created. The displayed representation of the global object is converted into a representation of the instance of the global object that is unique to the first entity.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling an exhaust gas fan system. The control system may control one or more components of the exhaust system to optimize system performance and improve energy efficiency. The control system may be designed to maintain a substantially constant pressure in the exhaust header and provide a substantially constant flow through the exhaust fans. The control system may include software and hardware that allow the control system to control one or more of: modulation of one or more by-pass dampers; adjustment of the nozzle outlet area; varying the speed of the fans; the number and staging of fans. • Patent number: 9485620
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for delivering emergent event notifications to a user's Mobile Device. Map and Calendar applications are polled with correlations made between map locations and event information. Geo-Fence Boundaries are established for map locations which are inherited by their associated events. Penetration of a Geo-Fence Boundary by a Mobile Device running the Mobile Application triggers a search for events that are associated with the established Geo-Fence Boundary. Filtered Notifications of event options of interest to the user are transmitted to the Mobile Device based on pre-established and dynamic variables and whether the user can arrive at the event while it is underway. Upon selection of an event by the user, the Mobile Device provides route and navigation guidance to the selected location.

  • Patent number: 9474211
Abstract: A rotary motion transfer apparatus, such as a combine grain elevator, which includes first and second endless flexible members which may include belts and/or chains. Each flexible member is trained around a respective set of rotary members which may be pulleys, sheaves or sprockets. One rotary member from each set shares a common shaft and may, or may not, be in driving engagement with one another. The common shaft is mounted on an adjustment frame member that is linearly displaceable with respect to a main frame to adjust the tension in the first endless flexible member. A pair of idler rotary members are provided for tensioning the second endless flexible member and are mounted on a pivot arm which is mounted to the adjustment frame member for pivoting movement around a pivot axis intermediate the pair of idler rotary members.

  • Publication number: 20160057927
Abstract: A grain unloading system for a combine harvester comprises an unloading tube having a discharge outlet and a helical auger situated in the unloading tube and operable to convey grain towards and through the discharge outlet. A dribble control door serves to inhibit the leakage of grain from the tube when the auger is in a non-operative mode. The door is pivotally connected to the tube adjacent the discharge outlet so as to be pivotally moveable between a closed position and an open position. A lever arm is fixed at one end to the dribble control door, and at the other end to a gas spring which is mounted to the tube. The gas spring is pressurised so as to provide a closing moment to bias the dribble control door into the closed position. The geometry of the lever and gas spring is such that the closing moment increases as the dribble control door moves from the open position to the closed position.
