  • Patent number: 11928301
Abstract: Electronic devices may be provided that contain flexible displays that are bent to form displays on multiple surfaces of the devices. Bent flexible displays may be bent to form front side displays and edge displays. Edge displays may be separated from front side displays or from other edge displays using patterned housing members, printed or painted masks, or by selectively activating and inactivating display pixels associated with the flexible display. Edge displays may alternately function as virtual buttons, virtual switches, or informational displays that are supplemental to front side displays. Virtual buttons may include transparent button members, lenses, haptic feedback components, audio feedback components, or other components for providing feedback to a user when virtual buttons are activated.

  • Patent number: 11922004
Abstract: Reduced-size user interfaces for providing weather information are disclosed. At an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display, indications of a location and a temperature at the location may be displayed. In some examples, a user may provide input through a touch on the touch-sensitive display and/or through a rotation of a rotatable input mechanism to display additional weather information, such as weather information for another location, another temperature, another time, and so forth. In some examples, the device may obtain data representing an upcoming activity, determine whether the activity is to begin within a threshold amount of time, and display weather information based on the upcoming activity. In some examples, the device may display an affordance at a position to indicate the time of day for which a weather condition is provided.

  • Patent number: 11924055
Abstract: An electronic device may include a display system and control circuitry. The user's environment may be presented on the display system. The environment on the display system may be a captured image of the environment, may be the actual real world viewed through an optical combiner, or may be a completely virtual image representing the environment. The control circuitry may gather information about external electronic devices in the user's environment, including determining a type and location of each external electronic device and a status of wireless communications links between external electronic devices. The display system may overlay computer-generated display elements onto the user's environment to indicate the status of wireless communications links between the external electronic devices. In response to touch or gesture input, the control circuitry may send control signals to the external electronic devices to establish or break wireless communications links between external electronic devices.

  • Publication number: 20230337384
Abstract: An electronic device having an enclosure formed from at least one glass cover and a peripheral structure formed adjacent the periphery of the glass cover is disclosed. The peripheral structure can be secured adjacent to the glass cover with an adhesive. The peripheral structure can be molded adjacent the glass cover so that a gapless interface is formed between the peripheral structure and the periphery of the glass cover. In one embodiment, the peripheral structure includes at least an inner peripheral structure and an outer peripheral structure.

  • Publication number: 20230297134
Abstract: An electronic device having a housing structure that is configured to receive at least one glass cover is disclosed. The glass cover serves to cover a display assembly provided within the electronic device. The glass cover can be secured to the housing structure so as to facilitate providing a narrow border between an active display area and an outer edge of the housing structure. The enclosure for the electronic device can be thin yet be sufficiently strong to be suitable for use in electronic devices, such as portable electronic devices.

  • Publication number: 20230300458
Abstract: A system may have electronic devices with wireless communications circuitry. Devices may have cameras for capturing images. Images may be shared between nearby devices. A first device may wirelessly send an image capture request to a second device. In response to assent to the image capture request, a camera application may be launched on the second device. Upon capturing an image with a camera in the second device in response to user input to the camera application or receipt of a remote image capture command from the first device, the second device may automatically send the captured image to the first device and delete the captured image from the second device. Arrangements in which users are provided with images from a public camera system on a stationary or mobile platform and in which users at an event share images from their cameras are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230285134
Abstract: An embolic protection device includes an expandable mesh net coupled to a catheter assembly used in an interventional procedure. The catheter assembly includes an outer catheter, an inner catheter, a compliant balloon, and the mesh net. The catheter assembly can be deployed in a lumen, such as an outflow graft of a left ventricular assist device, a blood vessel, or other bodily lumen. The mesh net is coupled to the inner catheter and is expanded by retracting the outer catheter when positioned in the lumen. The mesh net captures embolic debris before it is able to enter into the patient's blood stream.
