  • Patent number: 11875037
Abstract: Aspects and features of this disclosure provide a high-availability storage platform employing multiple redundant sites. Replication to multiple sites can begin upon receiving content and can be completed quickly, in part through the use of a small and efficient file that can be sent to storage sites. The file enables each storage site to efficiently build appropriate entries in a reference registry for storing and indexing the content. In some examples, a registration request including the content is received and the content is stored in an instance of the centralized storage system at an initial storage site. The aforementioned file is transmitted to additional storage sites to cause the content to be stored in additional instances of the centralized storage system. The file can also be accessed at the additional storage sites to update instances of the reference registry.

  • Publication number: 20220379310
Abstract: A workstation for processing particles entrained in a fluid includes a consumable portion and a reusable portion. The consumable portion is mounted to the reusable portion to form a fluid chamber in which an acoustic wave can be generated. The consumable portion implements a closed, isolated fluid environment that is managed using components of the reusable portion, such as valves, sensors and pumps. The workstation can be operated to retain particles from the fluid via the acoustic wave and provide a new fluid media to the retained particles. Following processing, the consumable portion can be removed and discarded.

  • Patent number: 10983505
Abstract: Some embodiments facilitate creation of an industrial asset item via an additive manufacturing process wherein motion is provided between a build plate and a print arm. A correction engine may receive, from an industrial asset item definition data store containing at least one electronic record defining the industrial asset item, the data defining the industrial asset item. A correction engine computer processor may then correct the motion provided between the build plate and the print arm such that the motion deviates from a path indicated by the data defining the industrial asset item. The three-dimension printer may be a rotary printer such that the build plate rotates about a vertical axis and moves along the vertical axis during printing. In these cases, a pre-compensation algorithm may be applied to correct the motion provided between the build plate and the print arm before transmitting data to the three-dimensional additive manufacturing printer.

  • Patent number: 10975368
Abstract: An acoustophoresis device includes an acoustic chamber with a piezoelectric element located within its volume. The piezoelectric element vibrates and generates acoustic standing waves from both sides, so that particles can be separated from fluid passing through the acoustic chamber. This permits the element to be cooled more efficiently, reducing transient heat loads in the fluid traveling through the device.

  • Patent number: 10814253
Abstract: Devices for separating a host fluid from a second fluid or particulate are disclosed. The devices include an acoustic chamber, a fluid outlet at a top end of the acoustic chamber, a concentrate outlet at a bottom end of the acoustic chamber, and an inlet on a first side end of the acoustic chamber. An ultrasonic transducer and reflector create a multi-dimensional acoustic standing wave in the acoustic chamber that traps and separates particulates (e.g. cells) from a host fluid. The host fluid is collected via the fluid outlet, and the particulates are collected via the concentrate outlet. The device is a large-scale device that is able to process liters/hour, and has a large interior volume.

  • Patent number: 10698386
Abstract: Some embodiments facilitate creation of an industrial asset item via a rotary additive manufacturing process. For example, a build plate may rotate about a vertical axis and move, relative to a print arm, along the vertical axis during printing. An industrial asset item definition data store may contain at least one electronic record defining the industrial asset item. A frame creation computer processor may slice the data defining the industrial asset item to create a series of two-dimensional, locally linear frames helically arranged as a spiral staircase of steps (and each step may be oriented normal to the vertical axis. Indications of the series of two-dimensional frames may then be output to be provided to a rotary three-dimensional printer.
