  • Publication number: 20240139527
Abstract: The invention is directed to a communication system for a wireless message transfer between an implantable medical device (IMD) and an external device. A communication system is disclosed that effectively throttles/manages messages in a limited resource communication scheme, wherein the IMD is configured to monitor the health status of a patient and/or configured to deliver a therapy signal to the patient, wherein the IMD comprises a processor and a transceiver module configured to bi-directionally exchange the messages with the external device, wherein the processor adopts at least a predefined active state and a predefined processing state, wherein the processor of the IMD is configured to produce response messages in order to send these response messages from the transceiver module to the external device. The invention is further directed to a respective communication method, computer program product and computer readable data carrier.

  • Patent number: 11952636
Abstract: The disclosure relates generally to molecular diagnostic devices configured to amplifying a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) locus and discriminate between two or more allelic variants of the SNP, indicating presence or absence of a target allele. In some embodiments, the molecular diagnostic devices are capable of detecting, at point-of-care, SNPs associated with resistance or susceptibility to antibiotic treatment of organism infections. In other aspects, the disclosure provides methods of treatment for disease or disorders (e.g. organism infections) where treatment is guided by presence or absence of an allele at a SNP locus as determined by such molecular diagnostic devices.

  • Publication number: 20150004355
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a void filler and a hollow door employing the void filler as a door core. Generally, the void filler expands from a compact collapsed state into an expanded state in which the void filler has an open-cell structure including three groups, such as columns, of six sided cells, such as generally hexagonal cells. The cells of the outer columns are substantially the same size, while the cells of the middle column are wider than the cells of the outer columns.
