  • Publication number: 20140012681
Abstract: A method for caching targeted webpage content is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes dividing a cacheable content pertaining to a website into a static portion and a dynamic frame for displaying visitor targeted content. The method determines a result for one or more targeting rules applied to a visitor's activity on a portion of the website and provides the result to the visitor's browser. The method further includes loading the dynamic frame of the cacheable content with visitor targeted content based on the provided result. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130322873
Abstract: A system for quantum teleportation of a quantum state of an input photon, including: a light emitting diode configured to produce a polarization entangled photon pair; a beam splitter configured to direct photons of the entangled photon pair along respective first and second paths; a measurement unit performing a joint measurement on the input photon; a timing unit configured to measure a first delay between the input photon and the photon of the entangled photon pair at a point of maximum indistinguishability of the photons as they pass through the joint measurement unit, and to measure a second delay between the two photons of the entangled photon pair as they exit the light emitting diode; a controller configured to determine a teleportation measurement is valid if the first delay is within a first predetermined timing window and the second delay is within a second predetermined timing window.

  • Patent number: 8546327
Abstract: Modified glucagon peptides are disclosed having enhanced potency at the glucagon receptor relative to native glucagon. Further modification of the glucagon peptides by forming intramolecular bridges or the substitution of the terminal carboxylic acid with an amide group produces peptides exhibiting glucagon/GLP-1 receptor co-agonist activity. The solubility and stability of these high potency glucagon analogs can be further improved by modification of the polypeptides by pegylation, acylation, alkylation, substitution of carboxy terminal amino acids, C-terminal truncation, or the addition of a carboxy terminal peptide selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 26 (GPSSGAPPPS), SEQ ID NO: 27 (KRNRNNIA) and SEQ ID NO: 28 (KRNR).

  • Publication number: 20130032346
Abstract: In a method of hydraulically fracturing a hydrocarbon-bearing subterranean formation, a proppant stage is introduced into the fracture which contains a gaseous fluid and an ultra lightweight proppant suspended in a viscosified aqueous fluid. The gaseous fluid of the proppant stage contains at least about 90 volume percent of the combination of gaseous fluid and aqueous fluid. • Publication number: 20120165503
Abstract: Peptide analogs of oxyntomodulin (OXM, glucagon-37), which have been modified to be resistant to cleavage and inactivation by dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-IV) and to increase in vivo half-life of the peptide analog while enabling the peptide analog to act as a dual GLP-1/glucagon receptor (GCGR) agonistm are described.
