  • Publication number: 20090163200
Abstract: An apparatus includes a data processor; a user interface; a first communication interface through which a call may made; a second communication interface; and a memory that stores information received through the second communication interface. The information is received from at least one mobile communication device when disposed in proximity to the apparatus, such as being received through a Bluetooth link. The data processor is configurable to operate with the user interface, the memory and the first communication interface to initiate a call to the at least one mobile communication device using the stored information. The call is initiated when the at least one mobile communication device is no longer disposed in proximity to the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7336197
Abstract: A LED lighting system for reading multiple data matrix codes on device populated transport media with a line scan camera, includes a light housing, a plurality of LED circuit bars, having a plurality of LEDs, mounted to an inner surface of the light housing arranged to provide high angle lighting and low angle lighting and a light controller operatively connected to the light housing to selectively control the light intensity, the light distribution and the angle of the LEDs on each of the plurality of LED array bars, whereby the LED lighting system can reduce texture noise and detect contrast in color or contrast in texture on the device populated transport media. The LED lighting system includes a device cooling system having an air compressor for cooling the LEDs such that they can operate at an optimal level.

  • Publication number: 20060111912
Abstract: An audio data security method and apparatus of the present invention verifies a subject audio communication stream. Verification is by a valid audio encoding detection module, a human speech frequency detection module, a human speech pattern detection module, a music frequency detection module, a human speech prosody detection module, a white noise detection module, and an environmental noise detection module.

  • Publication number: 20060098623
Abstract: A voice data security method and apparatus of the present invention modifies a subject voice data stream. Modification is by insertion of noise or similar interference effects. The amount of audio distortion is controllable. Audio or voice communications over a data network are thus made secure, and unauthorized use of the data network over voice channels is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20050097200
Abstract: Several sensors or other data collecting and transmitting devices may be made accessible to computers on a network by advertising their presence and establishing communications. This may be accomplished by using a standard network protocol and an aggregating device on the network. One such protocol is the Session Initiation Protocol. The sensor devices may be heterogeneous.
