  • Patent number: 11964035
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to, inter alia, a gel formulation in a package, the package may be pressurized. The formulation comprises one or more active agents and is co-mingled with a gas propellant prior to being filled under pressure into the package. The gas propellant is added in sufficient amounts to be dispersed in the formulation; the pressurized package is under sufficient pressure suitable to maintain the first gas propellant dispersed in the formulation. The pressurized package is under sufficient pressure to expel the formulation as a whipped gel formulation upon application of external force on the formulation in the package. The present disclosure also relates to, inter alia, a method of preparing the disclosed formulation; a package comprising the disclosed formulation, and a method of using the disclosed formulation.

  • Patent number: 9623645
Abstract: A discontinuous manufacturing process performs at least one processing step on a web of material unwound from a roll, applies an indicator code to the unwound web of material for indicating at least one finishing step the web of material is to be subjected to, rewinds the web of material having the indicator code on another roll and then transfers the rewound web of material to a remote finishing facility. At the remote finishing facility, the web of material is again unwound and transported towards a finishing station. The indicator code on the web of material is read at the finishing station and then directed to a location where an appropriate finishing step is performed on the web of material prior to it being rewound on a roll to form a product roll.

  • Publication number: 20130294026
Abstract: An electronics compartment is disclosed with a component space which is sealed off from a surrounding environment by walls. An internal panel is arranged in the component space along a wall of the electronics compartment for delimiting an internal channel between the wall and the internal panel. An external panel is arranged along a same wall of the electronics compartment as the internal panel, but outside the component space for delimiting an external channel between the wall and the external panel. Air flowing in the internal channel and external channel can improve heat transfer through the wall, and cool electric components in the component space.

  • Patent number: 7892210
Abstract: An improved apparatus, method and system are provided for medical liquid administration, including in particular liquid medication and/or flush solution infusions. The inventive apparatus includes a barrel, a plunger slidably disposed within the barrel and extending from a distal end thereof, and at least one medical liquid delivery line having a proximal end fixedly positioned relative to the barrel, wherein the medical delivery line is fluidly interconnectable proximal to the plunger and extends along at least a portion of the barrel and in a direction distally away from the distal end thereof. To accommodate the administration of both a liquid medication and flush solution, two coincidentally-positioned medical liquid delivery lines may be included, each of which may extend through the plunger to the valve. The valve may be positionable to accommodate the selective administration of a desired medical liquid through an interconnected catheter interconnection line.

  • Publication number: 20080063175
Abstract: A system and method for providing call information query stores modified call information associated with a telephone number within the local databases of a service provider's local network. The modified call information enables a service provider to unilaterally alter how calls are routed and rated. The service switching points (SSPs) located within a same local network are equipped with modified intelligent network or advanced intelligent network software that enables the local SSPs to receive remote call information resulting from a remote query performed by a remote SSP. The local SSPs analyze the remote call information and generate queries to their local databases to obtain modified call information. New services requiring modified call information can then be implemented based upon the modified call information received as a result of the queries.

  • Publication number: 20070078443
Abstract: The present invention provides an inventive apparatus and method for docking of a male luer connector fluidly interconnected or interconnectable to a medical liquid source during one or repeated periods. As such, the invention has particular application to multiple-dose medication therapy procedures. The docking apparatus comprises a holding receptacle having a single access opening and a depressible member disposed in the holding receptacle. The holding receptacle is adapted for retentive engagement with a male luer connector (e.g. via complementary threading), wherein upon docking a nozzle of the male luer connector is isolated within the holding receptacle. An anti-bacterial material may be readily applied to a top surface of the depressible member prior to docking so that the forward edge of the nozzle of the male luer connector contacts the anti-bacterial material when docked. The docking apparatus may be provided with lateral and rearward handling members to facilitate docking procedures.

  • Publication number: 20060260275
Abstract: An inventive method, system and apparatus are provided for syringe handling, and more particularly, for syringe labeling, filling and capping operations. To facilitate syringe handling, an inventive apparatus includes a plurality of syringe bodies interconnected in a predetermined orientation by a belt. Such belt may be of pliable construction and may define a predetermined spacing in between adjacent ones of the syringe bodies, such predetermined spacing corresponding with a distance between holders provided in a handling apparatus. The syringe handling apparatus may provide for the placement of contents-related information on belt segments between adjacent syringe bodies and for separating the belt segments, wherein a flap is left interconnected to each syringe body. The syringe handling apparatus may alternatively or also provide for automated filling of the syringe bodies wherein cap removal, filling and cap replacement operations are completed free from manual handling.

  • Publication number: 20060157971
Abstract: A first fluid connector is provided for selective interconnection to and fluid transfer with a second fluid connector. The first connector comprises a fluid passageway, an internal member and an outer collar supportably disposed about the internal member for selective advancement and retraction relative thereto. At least a portion of the fluid passageway may extend through the internal member. The outer collar may be selectively retracted to facilitate cleaning of the internal member. In some embodiments, the outer collar and internal member may be disposed so that a distal portion of the internal member is substantially flush with or a distal portion of internal member projects beyond a distal end of the outer collar when the outer collar is in a retracted position relative thereto. To facilitate cleaning, a distal end or distal portion of the internal member may be substantially closed when the first and second connectors are disconnected.
