Abstract: An assembly for covering the receptacle head of a receptacle containing a wall-mounted, button-operated GFI electrical outlet, comprising a cover plate having a front side and a rear side; a plurality of blade apertures extending through the cover plate through the front and back surfaces and positioned in the cover plate so the blade apertures are in substantial alignment with the blade apertures of at least one socket of an electrical outlet when the cover plate is affixed to the electrical outlet for receiving the plug blades; at least one securing aperture extending through the cover plate through the front the improvement wherein the cover plate has a pair of access openings to permit access to GFI buttons, the access openings being further adapted to be closed by inserts when GFI buttons are not present.

Abstract: An outlet extension unit adapted to plug into a conventional electrical wall outlet with wall plate comprising: a member having an upper end and a lower end, on one side at least one pair of outwardly projecting electrically conductive prongs adapted to plug into said conventional wall outlet and at least partially cover said wall plate, having said prongs being in electric conducting communication with a rotatable electrical receptacle carried at said lower end which is adapted to receive at least one conventional plug of an electrical device, said extension unit having at least one pair of prong receiving openings therein on the side opposite said outwardly projecting electrically conductive prongs.

Abstract: A building surface having therein at least one electrical outlet having thereover an outlet cover. The outlet cover has an inner surface facing the electrical outlet and an opposed exposed outer surface. The exposed outer exposed surface has an esthetically pleasing surface finish or treatment and the adjacent building surface has a matching or complementary exposed outer surface finish or treatment so as to make the appearance of the outer exposed surface of the outlet cover blend with the appearance of the building surface.
