Patent number: 11807565Abstract: A method for remediating wastewater formed by water and per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) using a wastewater treatment system that includes a collecting unit, a dewatering unit, a drying unit, and a baking unit. Wastewater provided to the collecting unit is dosed by adding a compound to the wastewater in an amount that is sufficient to cause the PFAS to separate from the water and to form a sludge. The sludge is dewatered with the dewatering from a first dryness level a second dryness level. The dewatered sludge is then dried in the drying unit from the first dryness level to a third dryness level. The dried sludge is then baked at a sufficiently high enough temperature that chemical bonds of at least a portion of the PFAS is destroyed.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 2022Date of Patent: November 7, 2023Inventors: Kenneth Brummett, Jonathan Brummett, Brian Bartel, Christina Harner

Publication number: 20100125485Abstract: A system for interactive selling may include a data processing device and a human consumable product. The system may also include a concealed flavor associated with the human consumable product and a code carried by the human consumable product that by itself cannot reveal the concealed flavor to a consumer. The code and the data processing device may induce the consumer to purchase the human consumable product because the consumer can then relay the code to the data processing device which determines for the consumer the concealed flavor based upon the code.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2008Publication date: May 20, 2010Inventor: John Brian Bartels

Publication number: 20070233566Abstract: The invention generally relates to a system and method for facilitating cooperative search engine marketing among business entities and their respective channel partners. Embodiments of the invention permit such business enterprises to easily create and distribute approved advertisements and campaign templates, allocate and track the usage of market development funds, monitor the results of sponsored search advertising campaigns instituted by their channel partners, and streamline the reimbursement process for market development funds (MDF). The enterprise may begin the process by creating “ready-made” advertisements and keyword lists with pre-approved content, which helps the enterprise protect brand identity and ensure consistent messaging while making the process of initiating a paid search campaign much easier for the channel partner.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2007Publication date: October 4, 2007Inventors: Dema Zlotin, Curt Nelson, Brian Bartell

Publication number: 20070039815Abstract: A hydrogen energy system comprising galvanic hydrogen generators and hydrogen input manifolds for vehicle engines. The galvanic hydrogen generators generate hydrogen gas, magnesium hydroxide, and heat by the galvanic reaction of magnesium anodes with steel cathodes in salt water. Heat exchangers channel excess heat to a heat sink such as a thermocouple, Stirling engine, hot water system, etc. The hydrogen input manifold is bolted between the engine block and the air intake manifold of a gasoline or diesel engine. Hydrogen gas is injected into the hydrogen input manifold to provide supplementary fuel to the engine, lowering the amount of petroleum that is used.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2006Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Brian Bartel

Publication number: 20050149538Abstract: A searchable electronic database system that can return search results independent of reference source type. The electronic database system includes information that can be content or discipline specific. The database can be focused to allow research to be limited to the discipline specific universe of information. The database can include person, organization, publication, and other entity types. The publications can include journal articles, books, dissertations, grants, clinical trials, and web resources. The database can also include ontology and lexicon entities. The entities are interconnected through relationships. Searches performed on the database return results across all entity types. A single search can return results from each of the different publication types. Details of the results can be displayed. Dynamic links to one or more fields in a particular result detail can link to a result categorized according to the field.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2004Publication date: July 7, 2005Inventors: Sadanand Singh, Richard Belew, Brian Bartell, Marie Linvill, Samir Singh, James Rhodes
