Abstract: Systems for monitoring a sump pump are provided. A system includes a power adapter designed to receive power from a power source. The power adapter is provided in the form of a controller establishing a wireless connection a wireless network and a housing having a first receptacle and a second receptacle. The first receptacle and the second receptacle are designed to accept a float-switch input and a sump pump input, respectively. The float-switch input and the sump pump input are electrically coupled to controller and the power source when accepted by the first receptacle and the second receptacle, respectively.

The power adapter includes a controller positioned within a housing, prongs in communication with components coupled to the controller, a first receptacle and a second receptacle. The controller is further configured to determine a power status of a float switch and control the pump based on power status of the float switch.

A given water device may include an identifier which may be captured by an installation device when attempting to install the water device and sent to a remote server. The remote server may identify the water device and provide installation support, registration, and/or configuration of the water device. Configuration of the water device may be performed based on configurations of other highly-performing water devices that are similar to the water device, as identified by the server. Problem signatures associated with known possible problems that may arise within a water device may be generated and stored in memory, then may be referenced against real-time device operation data and/or configuration data of the water device in order to diagnose and recommend remediation of problems with the water device.
