  • Patent number: 11971476
Abstract: Ultrasonic audio processing circuitry and a method useful in ultrasonic presence detection. An ultrasonic burst generator produces an ultrasonic burst signal at one or more ultrasonic frequencies, and an equalizer equalizes that ultrasonic burst signal according to frequency response characteristics of the speaker and microphone at those ultrasonic frequencies. Driver circuitry drives a speaker with the ultrasonic burst signal, which may be combined with an audible audio signal. An ultrasonic separation filter separates an ultrasonic portion from a signal received at a microphone, and processing circuitry is provided to determine a delay time of an echo corresponding to the ultrasonic burst signal in that separated ultrasonic portion of the received signal. In another aspect, the equalizer equalizes an ultrasonic portion of the signal received at a microphone, according to frequency response characteristics of the speaker and microphone at the ultrasonic frequencies of the burst.

  • Patent number: 8326746
Abstract: A Monte Carlo simulation engine configured to perform a primary beneficiary test to determine whether a variable interest entity holder is a primary beneficiary of a financial instrument. The engine includes a cash flow engine configured to generate a set of default/prepayment curves representing one or more discrete cash flow scenarios for one or more loans for the financial instrument, the default/prepayment curves representative of systemic risk associated with the financial instrument. The engine further includes an idiosyncratic risk module configured to convert the set of default/prepayment curves defined by the cash flow engine into a number of occurrences, which, at an aggregated level, mimic the default/prepayment curve from a systemic risk model.

  • Publication number: 20110137673
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and a method for providing and managing promotional and informational resources provided by drug manufacturers to HCPs. An HCP assistance system is disclosed having a static information repository with an information component that manipulates information recorded within the static information repository. HCP accessing the present invention are required to authenticate their membership in the system as well as their good standing with a licensing body. This authentication is performed within a presentation component that can be accessed via global computer network (GCN). An information component also provides an HCP with access to available drug samples, and any objective factual information related to a treatment, as well as any resources provided by pharmaceutical manufacturers to assist indigent patients.
