Abstract: An illuminated two-piece fiber glass fishing rod having a light emitting diode (LED) or a light bulb proximate its tip encased in an extended transparent tubular plastic portion as part of a hollow tip segment of the rod. The illumination is energized by battery encased in the handle of the hollow butt segment. The hollow tip and the butt segments are connected by a male-female electrical connection in the ferrules and rod segments. The segments are disassembled for portage.
