The terminal receives data associated with the plurality of items of digital content and identifying one or more items of digital content from the items of digital content in the playlist of digital content based on data associated with the items of digital content. The terminal removes unidentified items of digital content from the plurality of items of digital content in the playlist of digital content. The terminal causes output of the playlist of digital content including the one or more items of digital content at the display at the energy-dispensing station.

An embodiment described herein provides for a first server retrieving digital content from CMS. The first server formats the digital content to be output by at least one product terminal of a plurality of product terminals in accordance with one or more characteristics of the at least one product terminal. Each product terminal of the plurality of product terminals is disposed in a fixed location remote from the first server. The server identifies the at least one product terminal from the plurality of product terminals to output the formatted digital content and causes output of the formatted digital content by the at least one product terminal by transmitting the formatted digital content to a second server associated with the at least one product terminal.

Utilizing a programmatic system and machine learning algorithmic methodology, the platform gathers data from the retailer's data warehouse and automatically pulls location-by-location sales data while simultaneously collecting playback data. If sales are not being affected on the particular item that is being promoted, then the platform may be configured to replace that message with a promotional message for another product with a higher likelihood of engagement and conversion. This virtual feedback loop ensures that the platform is optimizing the most effective series of promotional messages for any given location.

A response action is provided if the first input comprises identification of the second state of the label and/or if the second input comprises identification of the first state of the label.
