  • Publication number: 20200289458
Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions comprising one or more cannabinoids and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier are disclosed. The compositions are in a form suitable for topical administration, and are useful in the treatment of pain. The cannabinoids suitable for use include cannabidiols, cannabinols, and various other naturally occurring and synthetic cannabinoids. The compositions may also further include anti-inflammatory agents, steroids, or terpenoids. In preferred embodiments, the cannabinoids incorporated in the compositions are cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN) while the carriers are selected from the group consisting of Labrasolâ„¢, Transcutolâ„¢, lecithin, lysolecithin, isopropyl palmitate, and isopropyl myristate.

  • Publication number: 20120258202
Abstract: Combining treatments to reduce caloric intake, such as an appetite suppressant and/or a nutrient absorption blocker with treatment to raise metabolic rate to compensate for its reduction due to caloric restriction. Enhancers focus upon the body's natural production of neurotransmitters, mainly serotonin and dopamine, and the body's efficiency in utilizing energy to increase the effectiveness of both treatments. Formulas are based on Green Tea extract, a standardized level of caffeine from coffee beans or coffee bean extract, a blend of B-vitamins, one of either of the following: coleus forskohlii extract, one of the following: 5-hydroxtryptophan or phenethylamine, and only specific formulas will include yohimbe bark extract standardized to 6% yohimbine or gugglesterones. Additional formulations combined with 2 g-5 g of any of the following glycomannans (fenugreek gum, tara gum, or locus bean gum) divided into two to three servings a day or the inclusion of reservatrol as a substitute for the galactomannan.

  • Patent number: 7227638
Abstract: A calibration system is integrally provided with a polarimeter in which the calibration system and the polarimeter each receives a radiance sample from a spectral band of a scene. Radiances provided by the calibration system used to provide the relative responsivity calibrations among the polarimeter channels are essentially depolarized so as to provide the measurement data required to update the relative responsivity factors for the polarimeter channels. The unpolarized radiances from the calibrator are interspersed with scene data collected directly by the polarimeter, so that the polarimeter can effectively be recalibrated for each set of scene data obtained by the polarimeter. Such tracking of the calibration data can be studied for trends to assess instrument stability and to assess the appropriate means to preserve the measurement accuracy over periods where such changes occur.

The unpolarized radiances from the calibrator are interspersed with scene data collected directly by the polarimeter, so that the polarimeter can effectively be recalibrated for each set of scene data obtained by the polarimeter. Another part of the calibration system may be used to adjust the scaling of the polarization calculated from the scene data obtained by the polarimeter. This is achieved by providing radiances which are essentially 100% polarized.
