    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a frame for mounting remote radio units. The frame includes a first vertical member, a second vertical member spaced apart from the first vertical member, at least one standoff member fixed to the first vertical member and the second vertical member, a first clamp member attached to the second vertical member, and a second clamp member coupled to the first clamp member, the first and second clamp members configured to clamp to a mounting structure. The second vertical member is positioned between the mounting structure and the first vertical member, and the second clamp member is configured for mounting of an antenna mounting frame, such that the first and second vertical members are on a first side of the mounting structure and the antenna mounting frame is on a second, opposite side of the mounting structure.

    Abstract: A high-energy resistor has a resistive body comprising unbound particulate material. The resistance value of the resistor can be determined in part by a mixing ratio of components in the unbound particulate material and a pressure applied to the particulate material. For a selected mixing ratio, the resistance of the assembled resistor can be adjusted to obtain a selected resistance value with high accuracy by changing pressure on the unbound particulate material. Such adjustment can be made readily by a user before and/or after the resistor is installed in a system. The adjustment can be automated and made during operation of the system to maintain a resistance value precisely.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus to shield various components (e.g., a gasket, a sensor, a wire, a mechanical component made of metals and/or polymers) deployed in a vacuum environment using a shield assembly formed from multiple ceramic fibers. The shield assembly reduces damage to the components when exposed to a plasma and the generation of contaminants. The ceramic fibers are formed from a ceramic and arranged in a packed structure creating a tortuous trajectory that suppresses the transport of charged particles and/or contaminants through the shield assembly. The ceramic fibers are mechanically compliant and readily bent and/or packed into gaps without fracture. The ceramic fibers may also be formed into a tube to surround a fiberglass rod, a gasket, a sensor, and/or a wire. The presence of the shield assemblies also permits cleaning of the interior surfaces of the vacuum chamber using a plasma without generating contaminants from the gaskets.

    Abstract: A multi-fed, multi-segmented magnetic coil assembly includes inertial dampers that can avoid excessive strain on core portions and fasteners that hold core portions of the magnetic coil together. Energy-absorbing elements are used to absorb and dissipate kinetic energy of oscillating components of the magnetic coil that result from high magnetic pressure acting on core segments. The inertial dampers and energy-absorbing elements can be selected to critically damp or overdamp mechanical oscillation in the magnetic coil assembly, allowing continuous repeated production of intense magnetic fields.
