Abstract: A remote control is provided for controlling an electronic device, where the remote control includes a remote housing and a cradle. A strap is also provided for securing the remote control against an object. The remote housing is removably coupled to the cradle in a manner that allows the remote housing to rotate or be repositioned within the cradle such that the remote housing can remain in an upright position regardless of positioning of the remote control on the object.

Abstract: A fan configured to generate multidirectional airflow from a vertically elongated main outlet is disclosed. The fan includes a housing with a blower assembly that receives ambient air through lateral intake openings and emits air through a narrow, vertically extending outlet. Internally, a blower housing with a curved wall directs airflow into a duct chamber that includes an upwardly angled wall surface. The blower outlet is spaced below the main outlet, and the duct geometry, including the angled wall, induces a portion of the airflow to adhere to the surface and exit the outlet in an upward direction. The remaining airflow exits horizontally, producing a compound airflow pattern comprising both forward and upward components without any movable louvers or tilt mechanisms. An oscillating base and optional pivoting support arm allow further directional control.

Abstract: A removable support base is provided that includes interchangeable decorative disks. In one example, a desk fan is provided that includes a fan supported by a support post that is positioned on the top of the removable support base. The removable support base has an upper plate and lower support member that are removably attached to the support post. The upper plate member is separable from the lower support member when detached from the support post. The desk fan further includes a first interchangeable substrate or decorative disk positioned between the upper plate and lower support member. The desk fan further including additional interchangeable decorative disks for interchanging with the first interchangeable decorative disk.

Abstract: A fan having a base, a plate operatively attached to the base, a fan head housing, and a support arm is disclosed. The plate oscillates relative to the base by an oscillating mechanism. The fan head housing includes a blower assembly with a motor that rotates a blade to produce an air stream. The support arm has a first end pivotally attached to the fan head housing and a second end fixedly attached to the plate. The fan head housing is cantilevered by the support arm. This fan configuration allows for improved airflow direction, enhanced portability and reduced noise.
