  • Patent number: 8914519
Abstract: Provided are methods, apparatus and computer programs for enabling tracking of a user's sequence of Web Browser requests when navigating within a single Web site. Requests for access to resources within the Web site are compared with redirection criteria and, if matching, are redirected to a request tracker which determines a session identifier (generating a new session ID if required), then logs the request and then redirects the request back to the Web server for processing. This method uses a request tracker outside the scope of the Web server program, addressing the inability of many current Web servers to support cookies and avoiding major rewriting of the Web site. The resources within the Web site for which tracking is implemented are renamed on the Web server and the redirected requests are also renamed to be consistent with the renamed resources but to avoid repeated matching with the redirection criteria.

  • Publication number: 20090144357
Abstract: A method uses template messages to optimize software messaging system. A message is decomposed into a template message portion containing message content, and a field message portion. A correlation identifier identifies a template message and only those template messages with unique correlation identifiers are stored or forwarded. A field message portion includes a correlation identifier associated with a template message. A recomposition function combines a field message portion with the appropriate template message portion as identified in the field message portion.
