  • Publication number: 20220204009
Abstract: A simulation for sensor data may be evaluated and used for future simulations for an autonomous vehicle software. The method includes receiving log data collected for an environment along a given run for a given vehicle, using a software for autonomous driving to perform a simulated run of the given run using logged sensor data from the log data and environment data constructed using the log data, and determining first details regarding detection of objects during the given run using logged sensor data. The method also includes using the software to run a simulation of one or more detection devices on a simulated vehicle driving along the given run to obtain simulated sensor data, and determining second details regarding detection of objects using the simulated sensor data. Metrics may then be extracted from the first details and the second details, and the simulation may be evaluated based on the metrics.

  • Patent number: 9384662
Abstract: Parking assistance for a vehicle includes various elements directed to assessing whether a motion or position of a vehicle is conducive to detecting an available parking slot. In one instance, a signal is received, and the signal is used to calculate a movement parameter. For example, the movement parameter might include a distance between the driven vehicle and one or more objects or a passing angle of the driven vehicle relative to the one or more objects. The movement parameter is then compared to a movement parameter threshold, and a notification is transmitted when the movement parameter is violated.

  • Patent number: 8460870
Abstract: A method of altering the conformation of a polypeptide having a known three-dimensional structure is described. The method comprises attaching a first end of a polymer to a first portion of the polypeptide, attaching a second end of the polymer to a second portion of the polypeptide, and altering the mechanical tension of the polymer, thereby altering the conformation of the polypeptide. The alteration of the conformation of the polypeptide may increase or decrease the binding affinity of the polypeptide for a substrate bound by the polypeptide, or alter the catalytic rate of an enzyme. Typically, the polymer is a polynucleotide or polypeptide.
