Abstract: A computer aided technology system includes a processor. The processor may receive a design model for a blade that has multiple diffuser holes. Also, the processor may derive a hole position and a vector for each of the multiple diffuser holes. In addition, the processor may translate the hole position to a machine coordinate system to create a translated hole position. Moreover, the processor may generate a manufacturing program based on the translated hole position and the vector. The blade includes a stator vane, a rotor vane, or a combination thereof. Further, the blade is included in a compressor, a gas turbine engine, or a combination thereof.

Abstract: A system includes a processor for implementing a computer-aided technology (CAx) system, the CAx system including a graphical-user-interface (GUI) that presents a computer-aided design (CAD) model, and the CAD model includes at least one part. Furthermore, the system includes memory storing instructions that cause the processor to present the GUI, receive, via the GUI, at least one indication of an association type and an indication of at least one criteria corresponding to the at least one indication of the association type, iterate the model to identify at least one second feature that satisfies the association type and the criteria, associate and store product and manufacturing information (PMI) with the at least one second feature, generating a PMI association, and display a PMI object of the at least one second feature on the CAD model in the GUI, the PMI object including the PMI.

Abstract: A method includes presenting a computer-aided design (CAD) model via a graphical-user-interface (GUI) on a display, in a first orientation view; presenting one or more PMI objects oriented towards a first normal vector associated with the first orientation view, having a first orientation; identifying a second orientation view of the CAD model; calculating a second normal vector associated with the second orientation view; identifying the one or more PMI objects oriented towards the first normal vector; and orienting the identified one or more PMI objects towards the second normal vector, such that the identified one or more PMI objects are aligned in the second orientation view, having a second orientation.

Abstract: A system includes a display, a processor, and memory storing instructions that cause the processor to receive a request to scale one or more objects of on a model depicted on the display, identify the one or more objects of the model, determine one or more model parameters of the model, such that the model parameters include information indicative of the one or more objects, the model, the display, or any combination thereof, calculate a size for the one or more objects of the model based on the one or more model parameters; and scale the one or more objects based on the size for the objects.
