  • Publication number: 20240101438
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for the recovery of lithium products from an aqueous solution, the method comprising the steps of: (i.) contacting the solution with an alkaline material to precipitate a target amount of magnesium in the brine solution and separating the precipitated solids from an intermediate solution; (ii.) contacting the intermediate solution with a controlled amount of a hydroxide salt to precipitate magnesium in the intermediate solution; (iii.) contacting the intermediate solution with a controlled amount of sodium carbonate to precipitate impurities and separating the precipitated solids from a purified solution; and (iv.) recovering lithium products from the purified solution.

  • Publication number: 20050159202
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for playing a video game of chance by a player using an asymmetrical die. The method includes the steps randomly determining a side on which the asymmetrical die will land based upon a predetermined landing odds for each side of the asymmetrical die in response to a request to roll the asymmetrical die, displaying an image of the asymmetrical die lying on the randomly determined side and determining a payout to the player based upon a predetermined payout factor for the randomly determined side.

  • Patent number: 5661006
Abstract: The invention is related to a nucleic acid sequence &coding a Canine coronavirus (CCV) spike protein. Such a protein can be used for the immunization of dogs against CCV infection. The nucleic acid sequence encoding the CCV spike protein can be applied for the preparation of the spike protein by means of genetic engineering techniques or can be applied for the preparation of vector vaccines.

  • Patent number: 4022084
Abstract: A control coupling in which an enclosure houses first and second sets of mutually interleaved elements in a viscous fluid. The first and second sets of elements are arranged for rotation about a common axis and for driving connection with first and second rotatable members respectively. The quantity of liquid within the enclosure and the construction of the enclosure are such that, at a predetermined working temperature of at least 100.degree. C, the pressure of the liquid in the enclosure rises substantially above ambient. At least one set of the elements is free to move in directions parallel to the common axis of rotation and at least one set of the elements is provided with facings of friction material.
