  • Publication number: 20220347611
Abstract: A gas filtering medium is composed of hydrophobic polyester fiber as from 20-80% by total weight of textile fibers and 80-20% by total weight of hydrophilic textile fibers and a microfibrillated cellulose fiber in a weight/weight ratio of 1.5-8.5/100 parts by weight of total textile fiber.

  • Publication number: 20210322906
Abstract: A filter and filter media configured and arranged for placement in a fuel stream is disclosed. The filter and filter media allow for filtering of liquid fuels, such as diesel fuel. In certain embodiments the filter media includes a media fiber, such as melt blown polyester; and a scaffold fiber, also such as such as melt blown polyester, having a larger diameter than the media fiber. The media and scaffold fibers combine to create a media structure having low solidity and relatively low compressibility, and which contain a pore structure that avoids premature fouling of the filter by fuel degradation products.

  • Patent number: 9446340
Abstract: Filters capable of dissipating static charges. One example includes a filter media pack comprising fluted media secured to facing media; the fluted media having cellulose fibers; and the fluted media including an amount of carbon black sufficient to impart a static charge dissipative property thereto. One example includes an air filter cartridge having a filter media pack comprising fluted media secured to facing media; the fluted media comprising cellulose fibers; the fluted media having at least one side coated with a static charge dissipative amount of a metallic coating. These filters are useable in, for example, dust collectors.

  • Publication number: 20110049015
Abstract: A system and method for removing and managing water in liquid hydrocarbons is disclosed. The system and method utilize a water absorbent filter, such as one that utilizes super absorbent polymers, cellulose, cotton or other suitable material to remove water from the system that is either present as free water or as dissolved moisture within the liquid hydrocarbon. The super absorbent polymer filter can be regenerated through the introduction of a dried liquid hydrocarbon, through the use of an air drying system, or a combination of both.

  • Publication number: 20040087924
Abstract: An absorbent feminine care article (40) can include a liquid-permeable cover (62); and an absorbent member (66) which is operatively joined with the cover (62). The cover (62) can include a hydrophilic first layer portion (68) operatively joined with a relatively less hydrophilic, second layer portion (30). The second layer portion (30) can be positioned on a bodyside of the article (20); and the first layer portion (28) can be positioned between the second layer portion (30) and the absorbent member (66).
