  • Patent number: 11937951
Abstract: A method of generating corrected fluorescence data of concentrations of a targeted fluorophore in tissue of a subject includes administering first and second fluorescent contrast agents to the subject, the first contrast agent targeted to tissue of interest, the second agent untargeted. The tissue is illuminated with light of a first stimulus wavelength and first data is acquired at an appropriate emissions wavelength; the tissue is illuminated at a second stimulus wavelength and second data is acquired at a second emissions wavelength associated with the second agent, the first and second emissions wavelength differ. Difference data is generated by subtracting the second data from the first data. A system provides for stimulus and capture at multiple wavelengths, with image storage memory and subtraction code, to perform the method. Corrected data may form an fluorescence image, or is used to generate fluorescence tomographic images.

  • Publication number: 20200069838
Abstract: A method for functionalizing graphene oxide includes reacting graphene oxide with a phosphite compound and a metal salt in the presence of a Lewis acid to produce phosphate functionalized graphene oxide including ions of the metal. An apparatus includes a bone scaffold construct formed of phosphate functionalized graphene oxide including metal ions. A bone scaffold construct includes a graphene oxide material formed in the shape of the bone scaffold construct, the graphene oxide material including graphene oxide, phosphate moieties covalently bound to the graphene oxide, and metal counter ions chemically associated with the phosphate moieties. A method for treating a bone defect includes administering a therapeutically effective amount of phosphate functionalized graphene oxide including metal ions.

  • Publication number: 20070189911
Abstract: A housing of a pump apparatus includes an undivided cavity, an inlet valve through which liquid can enter the cavity, and an outlet valve through which the liquid can exit the cavity. A primary piston is configured to reciprocate in the cavity to draw the liquid into the cavity through the inlet valve during an intake stroke of the piston and discharge the liquid out of the cavity through the outlet valve during a delivery stroke. A reservoir structure is configured to add, to the total volume of the cavity, an extra volume that is a smooth positive function of liquid pressure in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 6970101
Abstract: A method of matching a vehicle with a vacant parking space in a parking facility having numerous parking spaces. The method includes storing identifying characteristics of each of the parking spaces in a database. To request a parking space, a garage customer inputs data concerning his or her preferences for parking. The inventive method then determines which of the plurality of parking spaces are vacant, matches the data inputted by the user with the data identifying characteristics of each of the parking spaces determined to be vacant, and determines which of the parking spaces determined to be vacant most closely matches the data inputted by the user. The closest parking space is reserved for parking by the user.

  • Patent number: 5737173
Abstract: A railroad vital relay control circuit has a first input for receiving a reference alternating current signal of a selected frequency and a second input for receiving a track alternating current signal having the selected frequency of the reference signal and a predetermined phase and magnitude relationship therewith. A magnetic core provides a logical AND function and has two input arms and an intermediate output arm. There is a winding on each of the input arms and a winding on the output arm. There are frequency tuned voltage limiting circuit elements connecting the first input and a first one of the magnetic core input windings and the second input and the second input winding of the magnetic core. The magnetic core has an output winding on the intermediate arm which is connected to a vital relay. The input windings on the magnetic core are connected to produce flux in the same direction in the output arm.
