  • Patent number: 11925594
Abstract: Actuators and methods of use are provided. An actuator may include an inner member made from an elastic material and defining a compartment for receiving an actuating fluid, the inner member being moveable in a longitudinal direction from a relaxed state to an expanded state by introducing an actuating fluid into the inner member; and an outer member made from an inelastic material and being disposed around the elastic inner member to control expansion of the elastic inner member in a radial direction, the outer member being moveable from a folded relaxed configuration to an unfolded extended configuration as the inner member moves from the relaxed state to the expanded state, wherein the movement of the actuator between the relaxed state and the expanded state causes a movement of a structure to which the actuator is attached.

  • Publication number: 20030216930
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a search engine system, method and apparatus comprising a search engine, a participant management system, at least one storage database, a listing database and at least one feedback mechanism. The search engine accepts input data and utilizes the input data to search for information related to the search terms. Upon retrieval of relevant information, the data analysis module organizes the data related to the search terms into a search results list. To determine the placement of listings upon a search request, the data analysis module determines the probability, for each relevant listing, that the user will ultimately complete the desired action if the listing is shown, wherein the probability of action is determined by a plurality of factors. This probability is then combined with the specific CPA for the advertiser.

  • Patent number: 4885725
Abstract: The position of a projectile travelling at a supersonic velocity is sensed by two triangular arrays of transducers 10,11 which are located below and close to the plane of a target area 14 through which the projectile passes. Signals from the transducers are processed to obtain data indicative of the direction of the trajectory from each array. This data can be processed to obtain the position of the trajectory in a cartesian coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 4574806
Abstract: A tunnelling device for use in the placement of a peripheral cardiovascular graft in a living body comprising three portions. The first portion is a hollow curved conduit forming portion having a distal end, a proximal end and an interior lumen. The second portion is a hollow bullet shaped nose section releasably engageable with the distal end of the conduit forming portion. The third portion is a handle which is releasably locked to the proximal end of the conduit forming portion and has a stylet which is fixed to and extends distally from the handle, the stylet being received within and through the lumen of the conduit forming portion and terminating at a position within the nose section.
