  • Patent number: 10850796
Abstract: A bicycle comprises a front wheel; a rear wheel; a frame comprising a main frame portion and an articulating frame portion, the articulating frame portion comprising: a lower arm pivotally supported at a first axis by the main frame portion; an upper frame link pivotally supported at a second axis by the main frame portion; an upper arm pivotally coupled to the upper frame link at a third axis; an upper shock link pivotally coupled to the upper frame link and the upper arm at the third axis; and a lower shock link pivotally coupled to the main frame portion and the lower arm at the first axis; and a shock absorber having a first end pivotally supported at a fourth axis by the main frame portion, and a second end pivotally supported at a fifth axis by the upper shock link and the lower shock link.

  • Patent number: 10710662
Abstract: A bicycle assembly comprises a saddle adjustment assembly, the saddle adjustment assembly comprising: a saddle post configured to attach to a bicycle frame; an actuating member slidably coupled with the saddle post such that the actuating member can translate, in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the saddle post, between at least first and second predetermined positions, the actuating member comprising a saddle angle locking device that selectively locks the actuating member in the first and second predetermined positions; and a saddle support arm configured to couple to a bicycle saddle, the saddle support arm rotatably coupled to the saddle post and the actuating member such that translation of the actuating member with respect to the saddle post causes the saddle support arm to rotate with respect to the saddle post.

Date of Patent: July 14, 2020
    Assignee: SPECIALIZED BICYCLE COMPONENTS, INC.
Inventors: Jeffrey K. Bowers, Brian D. Robinson, Ian McPherson
  • Patent number: 10562578
Abstract: An adjustable length post for a bicycle comprises first and second slidably coupled supports, the second support comprising an interior cavity defined by an interior surface, the interior surface having a portion recessed from a surrounding surface; and a collet coupled to or integrated into the first support, the collet comprising a body positioned at least partially within the interior cavity of the second support; a locking member pivotally or slidably coupled to the body, the locking member repositionable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration, wherein, in the locked configuration, the locking member protrudes laterally from the body an amount sufficient to engage the recessed portion of the interior surface of the second support, and, in the unlocked configuration, the locking member does not protrude laterally from the body or does not protrude an amount sufficient to engage the recessed portion of the interior surface of the second support.
