  • Patent number: 6604721
Abstract: A bracket pivotally mounted on a bracket support is used to removably attach a container to the side of a ladder. The bracket and bracket support are affixed to the container by attachment means. In a preferred embodiment, the bracket support is integral to the container and is a lip disposed on an upstanding peripheral wall. The container includes a bottom panel and an upstanding peripheral wall defining the interior of the container. The lip is disposed on the upstanding peripheral wall proximate to the top portion of the upstanding peripheral wall. The lip extends laterally outward from the upstanding peripheral wall and includes an outward facing rail contact surface. Pivot supports disposed at a position intermediate the rail contact surface of the lip and the first wall section of the container attach a bracket to the lip.

  • Patent number: 6382354
Abstract: A ladder supported container including a bottom panel and an upstanding peripheral wall defining the interior of the container. A lip is disposed on the upstanding peripheral wall proximate to the top portion of the upstanding peripheral wall. The lip extends laterally outwardly from the upstanding peripheral wall and includes an outward facing rail contact surface. The lip typically further includes two pivot supports disposed at a position intermediate the rail contact surface of the lip and the first wall section of the container. The container further includes a U-shaped bracket disposed within the pivot supports. The bracket includes a rail engaging section disposed outwardly from the rail contact surface of the lip at a spaced apart lateral distance from the rail contact surface of the lip. The spaced apart distance defines a ladder rail receiving gap.

  • Patent number: 6148957
Abstract: The ladder scaffold assembly of the present invention for releasable mounting on two spaced apart ladders placed side by side comprises a scaffold platform having opposing first and second lateral ends and a ladder attachment bracket disposed on the opposing ends of the platform for supporting the platform in an elevated horizontal position intermediate two spaced apart ladders. Step engagement means are disposed on each ladder attachment bracket, wherein the step engagement means comprise an upward sloping surface to releasably engage and securely hook onto a step from underneath the step. The step engagement means is rigidly attached to the ladder attachment bracket and is incapable of independent movement in relation to the platform. The upward sloping surface permits releasable engagement to a step that may comprise a step of a step ladder or adjacent side by side rungs of an extension ladder.

  • Patent number: 6148958
Abstract: The ladder supported holding tray assembly for releasable attachment to a ladder includes a generally horizontal container including opposing side panels, a front, a back, and a bottom. The tray assembly also includes a ladder attachment bracket including a connecting wall attaching the bracket to a side panel of the tray. Step engagement means are disposed on the bracket, wherein the step engagement means comprises an upward sloping surface to releasably engage and securely hook onto a step from underneath the step. The tray when mounted on a ladder extends laterally outwardly from the ladder so as to not interfere with the normal use of the ladder.

  • Patent number: 6089351
Abstract: A ladder supported holding tray comprises a tray assembly for releasable attachment to a step of a step ladder, or to adjacent side by side rungs of overlapping sections of an extension ladder. The tray assembly includes a container and first and second supports disposed on the container, with the first and second supports being substantially disposed beneath the container and supporting the container in an elevated position relative to the supports. The tray assembly additionally includes step engagement means. The step engagement means may typically be disposed on the first and second supports and typically comprise a concave upward sloping surface configured to releasably engage and securely hook onto a step from underneath the step. The step engagement means permit secure temporary attachment of the tray to a single step of a step ladder without the tray assembly engaging the side rail members of the ladder or other steps or rungs of the ladder.

  • Patent number: 5842253
Abstract: The ladder supported holding tray of the present invention comprises a tray assembly for releasable attachment to a step ladder or to an extension ladder that typically comprises an open top container including at least a front panel, a back panel, a first side panel, an second side panel, and a bottom joined together to define a hollow interior receptacle. First step engagement member are disposed on the container proximate the container bottom to permit secure temporary engagement of the tray to a first step of a step ladder, to a first single rung of an extension ladder, or to first side by side rungs of overlapping sections of an extension ladder. Second step engagement member are disposed on the tray assembly proximate to the open top of the container to permit secure temporary engagement to a second step of a step ladder, a second single rung of an extension ladder, or a second rung of side by side rungs of overlapping sections of an extension ladder.
