    Abstract: Improved results can be obtained in lamella separators having a liquid feed at the base of the lamella which introduces liquid in horizontal direction perpendicular to the direction of lamellar flow by provision of a throat restriction at the point of influx and, where the feed prior to reaching the point of influx flows downwardly in an inverted V-shaped influent chamber, providing said chamber with a baffle extending across one wall of said chamber.
