  • Publication number: 20160236737
Abstract: A recreational off-highway vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis that is approximately 50 inches wide. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll cage. Grab handles are positioned on the sides of the passenger seat. Select large round tubing protects the vehicle, while rectangular tubing frames the portions of the vehicle beneath body panels. The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that is connected to a transaxle. The engine and transaxle are isolation mounted together with a portion of the air intake assembly. The vehicle is suited for rough terrain travel.

  • Patent number: 8950824
Abstract: A retainer plate for preventing or at least mitigating loosening of an axle nut of a vehicle. The retainer plate comprises a generally flat section of rigid material that couples to an axle nut in a non-rotatable fashion and to a portion of the wheel to maintain the axle nut in tight threaded engagement with the axle. The retainer plate can have a central bore that non-rotatably engages the axle nut and a radially outward feature that engages the wheel to prevent the axle nut from loosening.

  • Publication number: 20070061179
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an integrated method and system for managing human resources. Specifically, the method and system integrates several processes (e.g., a process for developing a strategy and particularly for developing a set of rules on how human resources will be managed and sourced, a process for developing a long-term strategic plan for sourcing human resources to satisfy demands, a process for developing a near-term operational plan recommending individual human resources be used to satisfy selected demands, a process for selecting and assigning individual resources to specific engagements, etc.). Thus, the method operates through a spectrum of time horizons from the strategic to real time, providing a coherent and cohesive system for matching supply to demand based on the priorities of the business as represented through the set of rules.

  • Publication number: 20070006673
Abstract: A motorcycle transmission (100) utilizes a shift fork (45), a shift collar (30) including a plurality of engagement teeth (30c) and a collar rib (30a) and a gear (34) (or one of the other six gears). The engagement teeth (30c) drive the teeth (34a) of the gear (34). A trap door (49), in combination with a threaded retainer (55), reduces axial play in shafts (37) and (75).

  • Publication number: 20060042901
Abstract: Friction plates (53, 67) have a friction surface which contacts a friction surface on reaction plates (54, 68) to limit the torque transferred in a drive train, after the engine, in a snowmobile, while still allowing torque transmission at a predetermined level.

  • Publication number: 20050060242
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the invention relates to a method, system, and storage medium for resolving demand and supply imbalances. The method comprises identifying at least one excess component inventory liability or constraint in supply capability for an end product by matching current buying patterns for the end product against inventory liability and supply capability based on a previous demand forecast. Where excess component inventory liability exists the method refocuses the excess component inventory liability by determining alternative end products that use components identified in the excess component inventory liability; and executes sales activities for enticing sales of the alternative end products. Where constrained supply capability exists, the method determines alternative end products that are functionally equivalent to those identified in the constrained supply capability; and executes sales activities for enticing sales of functionally equivalent alternative end products.

  • Patent number: 6120399
Abstract: The invention is a secondary, or driven, element suitable for use as one element of a three-element continuously variable transmission comprising a primary drive sheave, a V-belt, and the secondary drive sheave. Both sheaves have variable pitch diameters. The pitch diameter of the primary split sheave increases with increasing rotation rate, and the pitch diameter of the secondary split sheave increases as the torque applied to the load increases. The moveable portion of the driven sheave is fitted with a cam in the form of a helix in a hollow cylinder. A roller-type cam follower is mounted perpendicular to the sheave rotational axis on a stub shaft, or spider, that extends radially from the post, an axial extension of the fixed sheave portion. A spring biases the driven sheave portions toward maximum pitch diameter. Increased torque tends to rotate the moveable sheave portion with respect to the shaft and fixed sheave.
