    Abstract: A sheath for the disposal of medical needles, the sheath having a tubular portion which is closed at one end. The other end is open and has gripping means to grip the boss portion of the needle. The sheath is then manipulated to remove the needle from the syringe, leaving the needle fully protected in the sheath.
