  • Publication number: 20230263999
Abstract: A method and/or use of restoring blood flow in neurovasculature by removing thrombus in a plurality of human patients experiencing ischemic stroke. A first stent retriever device is passed by, through, or about a cerebral occlusion in a blood vessel of one of the plurality of human patients. Then a revascularization device is passed by, through, or about the cerebral occlusion in the blood vessel of the one of the plurality of human patients to restore perfusion to the blood vessel and achieve at least approximately 88% final revascularization rate for the plurality of human patients under the modified treatment in cerebral infarction score of equal to or greater than a grade of 2b (mTICI?2b).

  • Publication number: 20230013548
Abstract: A clot capture catheter having an outer inflatable expansile member and an inner inflatable expansile member positioned within the outer inflatable expansile member at a distal end of a shaft of the catheter is presented herein. The inner and outer inflatable expansile members can have differing compliance than each other. Inflation of a higher compliance inner inflatable expansile member can cause a lower compliance outer inflatable expansile member to shorten and provide tension to the distal end of the shaft to case the distal end to open to a funnel shape. Inflation of a lower compliance inner inflatable expansile member can center the distal end of the shaft within a vessel, and inflation of a higher compliance outer inflatable member can provide atraumatic flow arrest to the vessel.

  • Patent number: 11395667
Abstract: A clot capture catheter comprises an elongate tubular shaft having a proximal end, a distal end and an inflatable expansile member at the distal end. The expansile member is inflatable from a collapsed delivery configuration to an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, the expansile member extends to define a funnel shape having an enlarged distal clot entry mouth at the distal-most end of the catheter. In the expanded configuration, the expansile member may extend distally beyond the distalmost tip of the shaft. The expansile member may be integral with the distal tip of the catheter shaft.

  • Publication number: 20220000504
Abstract: A clot retrieval device for removing occlusive clot from a blood vessel. The device comprises an inner elongate body having a collapsed delivery configuration and an expanded deployed configuration. An outer elongate body is at least partially overlying the inner elongate body. The outer elongate body is expandable to a radial extent which is greater than the radial extent of the inner body in the deployed configuration to define a clot reception space. The outer elongate body has a plurality of clot receiving openings and a plurality of clot engaging regions. The clot engaging regions are adapted, on engagement with clot, to urge clot towards the clot receiving openings and into the reception space between the outer elongate body and the inner elongate body, wherein the radial force profile of the device varies along the length of the device.

  • Publication number: 20180263632
Abstract: An embolic occlusion device for the treatment of aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations comprises expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). The ePTFE permits ingrowth of cells with connective tissue deposition to promote adherence of the aneurysm wall to the embolic device thereby preventing continued growth or re-growth of the aneurysm as well as blocking blood flow into an aneurysm. An occlusion device is also described which comprises an embolic element and a polymeric pre-formed component.
