  • Patent number: 11948300
Abstract: Machine learning systems and methods are disclosed for prediction of wound healing, such as for diabetic foot ulcers or other wounds, and for assessment implementations such as segmentation of images into wound regions and non-wound regions. Systems for assessing or predicting wound healing can include a light detection element configured to collect light of at least a first wavelength reflected from a tissue region including a wound, and one or more processors configured to generate an image based on a signal from the light detection element having pixels depicting the tissue region, determine reflectance intensity values for at least a subset of the pixels, determine one or more quantitative features of the subset of the plurality of pixels based on the reflectance intensity values, and generate a predicted or assessed healing parameter associated with the wound over a predetermined time interval.

  • Patent number: 11891134
Abstract: The disclosure is directed at an apparatus, method and computer readable medium for a self-powered towed vehicle in a road train or tractor-trailer vehicle configuration to detect and respond to forward jack-knifing risk conditions. The apparatus may detect jack-knifing risk conditions based on sensors and information including sensors to detect an angle of misalignment between the towed vehicle and the vehicle directly in front of it in the road train. The apparatus may respond to the presence of a jack-knifing risk condition by reducing or eliminating the motive rotational force applied to the wheels of the towed vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070280660
Abstract: A method for firing a flash of an image-capturing device is disclosed. The method uses a focus parameter, which is generated during the focusing procedure of the image-capturing device, to estimate a shooting distance. Then, the method dynamically determines a flash intensity of the flash according to the shooting distance, thereby obtaining improved exposure effect. In addition, since the preflash of the flash is skipped, the method can reduce the power consumption and shorten the shooting time, thereby enhancing the performance of the image-capturing device and the flash.
