  • Publication number: 20070260223
Abstract: A deflectable catheter assembly includes a deflectable body manipulatable by a rotating actuator of a housing assembly. The housing assembly includes a sliding member having a threaded portion including a first threaded portion having a first pitch and a second threaded portion having a second pitch, where the first pitch is different than the second pitch.

  • Publication number: 20070005008
Abstract: A deflectable catheter includes a flexible element includes a flexible element, and at least one skirt extending at least part way around the flexible element. An encapsulant is coupled between the skirt and a deflectable distal end portion of the deflectable catheter. The encapsulant is adapted to transmit pushing and pulling forces from the skirt to the deflectable distal end portion.

  • Publication number: 20060264819
Abstract: A deflectable catheter includes a catheter shaft having a deflectable distal tip. A support member is coupled around a proximal portion of the catheter shaft, and the support member includes a first brake portion extending along at least a portion of the support member. A handle is coupled around the support member. The deflectable catheter includes a carriage moveably coupled along the handle, and the carriage includes a second brake portion sized and shaped to engage with at least a portion of the first brake portion. A flexible element is coupled between the deflectable distal tip and the carriage. A biasing device is adapted to bias the second brake portion into engagement with the first brake portion.

  • Publication number: 20060258979
Abstract: A catheter assembly includes a handle assembly, and a catheter body coupled with the handle assembly, where the catheter body extends to a deflectable distal end portion, and the deflectable distal end is controllable by a flexible element. A lever actuator member is operatively coupled with the flexible element, and movement of the actuator member provides for movement of the flexible element.

  • Publication number: 20050065467
Abstract: A catheter assembly includes a catheter body and housing attached to the catheter body proximal end, where an actuator lumen extends through the catheter body. A flexible element extends from an actuator member within the housing through the actuator lumen to a deflectable distal end. A first tubular support is provided that is coupled to the flexible element. A second tubular support is coupled with the first tubular support and slidably coupled to the flexible element. In one option, the first tubular support and second tubular support constrain lateral movement of the flexible element when the catheter assembly is operated.

  • Publication number: 20030225379
Abstract: A valve for blocking the flow of gas or fluid with or without an instrument in place within the gas/fluid path. The valve includes a seal module having a proximal end and a distal end with a lumen sized to allow the passage of fluids or gases.

  • Patent number: 5675785
Abstract: A database warehouse includes a database having data arranged in data tables, e.g., fact tables and reference tables. A warehouse database hub interface is connected to the database. The warehouse database hub interface presents to a user a schema of the data in the database warehouse. The schema consists of virtual tables. Arrangement of the data in the virtual tables is different than arrangement of data in the fact tables and the reference tables. A user generates queries based on the schema provided by the warehouse database hub interface. In response to a such a query for particular information stored in the database warehouse, the warehouse database hub interface modifies the query to take into account pre-computed values and the arrangement of the data within the database warehouse. Then the warehouse database hub interface queries the database warehouse using the modified query to obtain the particular information from the database warehouse.
