Abstract: A patch panel configured for mounting to a network rack, includes: a frame including mounting features at opposite lateral ends for mounting the patch panel to the network rack; a bezel mounted to the patch panel, the bezel including a plurality of outlet apertures, and a plurality of communication outlets mounted in respective ones of the outlet apertures. Each of the outlets includes a plurality of electrical contacts within a plug aperture configured to receive a mating plug. The plug aperture has a generally horizontal axis for receiving the mating plug and further includes a plug latch recess. The outlets are oriented such that the plug latch recess is positioned on one side edge of the plug aperture.

Abstract: A system for detecting a board-insertion power-on versus a chassis power-on is disclosed. By using recessed circuit board sense contacts, recessed chassis sense contacts, or equivalent, a circuit can detect when power reaches a circuit board's power contacts before the circuit board sense contacts mate with corresponding chassis sense contacts. On the other hand, if a circuit board is fully seated when chassis power is first applied, the circuit will not detect that power has reached the power contacts before the sense contacts are mated, resulting in a different output. The circuit can include a latch, the output of the latch representing either a board-insertion power-on or a chassis power-on. The output of the latch can be used to modify a software or hardware condition or state, resulting in improved operation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an intravaginal catamenial device having a distensible member for sealingly engaging walls of a vagina. Inflating the distensible member provides immediate expansion after insertion into the vagina, thereby minimizing the potential for any by-pass leakage of bodily fluids. The device of the present invention employs a valve mechanism capable of two-way fluid communication that enables both inflation and deflation of the device. The distensible member may be of any shape that is useful for blocking and/or collecting bodily fluids.

Abstract: A cushion or pad for orthopedic applications is disclosed. The cushion or pad comprises a bladder filled with a combination of spherical objects in a lubricant and an inflatable air bladder. The inflation of the air bladder is used to properly position an orthesis on a patient.

Abstract: There is disclosed a short leg walker comprising a rigid sole and calf shell and an articulated rigid skin and dorsal shell. The shells are padded at some locations with a non-inflatable padding such as foam or a fiber padding and at other locations with an inflatable bladder and a second bladder between the inflatable bladder and the limb of the patient. The second bladder is responsive to deforming pressure exerted on it and will maintain its support of the limb when the pressure is removed.
