    Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for forecasting the positions of marine vessels. In an aspect, the present system is adapted to execute a forecasting algorithm to forecast the positions of one or a great many marine vessel(s) based on one or more position reporting systems including coastal and satellite AIS (S-AIS) signals or LRIT received from the vessel. The forecasting algorithm utilizes location and direction information for the vessel, and estimates one or more possible positions based on previous paths taken by vessels from that location, and heading in substantially the same direction. The dead air space panel is proximate and interior to a first inner flame-retardant corrugated layer. The first inner flame-retardant corrugated layer is proximate and interior to an outer thermal paste panel. The outer thermal paste panel is proximate and interior to a flame-retardant corrugated carton. The thermal paste panels preferably comprise aluminum flashing containing a mesh matrix for holding flowable thermal paste. The shipping container is lidded by a fitted cap above an air cap above a vacuum plenum cap.

    Abstract: A hold-up-assist device allows users to ingress and egress a vertically-actuated exercise apparatus such as a squat machine without the awkward, and perhaps physically daunting, requirement of lifting the upper frame portion. Instead, the support arm with its V-shaped channel on a top contacting surface is swung up to brace the upper frame as the last user completes his squat repetitions. The next user is then able to enter, comfortably raise the upper frame with the shoulders, back and leg muscles, and then swing the assist device to the side by grasping a curved handle that extends toward the user. Thereafter, exercise repetitions proceed.

    Abstract: The invention is a colorimeter for dental applications comprising a hand-held probe, similar in size to a dental drill, attached by an electrical cable to a small self-contained display module. The calorimeter provides the capability for measuring the colors of a number points along a line on the surface of an object such as a tooth. A measurement is made while placing the tip of the probe against, or in close proximity to, the surface of the object. The display module to which probe attaches contains a microprocessor and provides a control, display and data interface to the operator. The display module can be adapted for fastening to the wrist of the operator thereby leaving both hands free to manipulate the probe and other tools. The calorimeter is particularly well suited for measuring the color of teeth in a dentist's office in preparation for making dental prostheses which accurately match the color of natural teeth.
