  • Publication number: 20080041858
Abstract: A canister has a base with a bottom, a side wall extending up from a perimeter of the bottom, and a top opening near a top end of the side wall. The canister can have a handle formed as a part of the back wall extending upward from the base above the side wall and around at least part of the top opening. The canister can also have one or more seals created at different points of contact between the lid and the base with the lid installed on the base. One of the seals can be formed between an upward facing ledge on the base and a downward facing shoulder on the lid. Another of the seals can be formed between an outward facing projection on a skirt wall of the lid and an interior surface of the base side wall. Another seal can be created between a gasket that is carried on an exterior surface of a lid skirt wherein a portion of the gasket bears against the interior surface of the base side wall. The canister can also have a positive lid retention structure.

  • Publication number: 20070187277
Abstract: A storage container system has a plurality of container bases and a plurality of lids for the bases. Each of the bases has a bottom, a continuous side wall extending up from the bottom and terminating at a top edge, an interior storage space within the side wall above the bottom, and an open top bounded by the top edge. Each of the lids has a main panel section, a perimeter skirt assembly around the main panel section, a top side, and a bottom side. Each of the plurality of lids is configured to close off the open top of any one of the plurality of container bases by connecting the perimeter skirt assembly to the side wall near the open top. A first snap structure is provided on each of the plurality of lids. Each first snap structure has one component configured to connect to a mating lid component of the first snap structure on any other one of the plurality of lids to connect any two of the plurality of lids together.

  • Publication number: 20070122599
Abstract: A food wrap has a flexible carrier sheet and a prep panel structure connected to the carrier sheet. The prep panel structure is made from a material that is less flexible than the carrier sheet and has two prep sections. A closure feature is incorporated as a part of the wrap. The wrap can be configured to a folded condition to completely surround a food article. At least parts of the flexible carrier sheet overlap other parts of the carrier sheet in the folded condition and the food article is sandwiched between the two prep sections. The closure feature assists in maintaining the wrap in the folded condition.

  • Publication number: 20050191114
Abstract: Disclosed herein are writing instruments with tape flag dispensers. In one of various embodiments, a writing instrument has a barrel, a flag dispenser partially inserted into the barrel, and a rotating cover that engages with and covers the flag dispenser. In another embodiment, a writing instrument includes a barrel, a flag dispenser partially inserted into the barrel, and a sliding cover that engages with and covers the flag dispenser. In different positions, the rotating or sliding cover enables various functions of the flag dispenser. For example, the cover may be moved into a position to enable withdrawal of tape flags by a user. The cover may also be configured to move into a position that covers and protects the tape flags. In refillable embodiments of the writing instrument, the cover may also be configured to move into a position that allows a user to replace or replenish the tape flags.

  • Patent number: 6702138
Abstract: An insulated beverage container (100) has a tumbler (110), a handle assembly (120) including a collar (122) attached to the top of the tumbler, and a valved lid assembly (200). The tumbler has multiple wall construction, wherein the inner two walls (114, 116) define an insulating volume (118) therebetween that may be partially evacuated. The valved lid assembly includes an upwardly biased valve (240), near the top of the lid assembly, that may be moved from a closed position wherein the valve abuts a valve seat (214) in the lid assembly, and an open position wherein the valve is spaced apart from the valve seat. A non-skid base (102) with integral, upwardly extending grip elements provides a grip to facilitate handling of the tumbler.
