  • Publication number: 20190242328
Abstract: A bracket kit for mounting an engine mount to three different engine blocks. The bracket kit comprises a bracket comprising an upper mounting surface and a hole having a centerline for mounting the engine mount that defines a longitudinal axis. The bracket comprises inner and outer rear mounting surfaces. The bracket comprises first and second holes extending to the inner rear mounting surface. The bracket comprises third and fourth holes extending to the outer rear mounting surface. The inner rear mounting surface is set back from the outer rear mounting surface. The bracket kit comprises a bushing removably engaged with a recessed portion of the first hole for attaching the bracket to the first engine block. The bushing may be removably engaged with a recessed portion of the second hole for attaching the bracket to the second engine block or the third engine block.

  • Patent number: 10052943
Abstract: An engine mount comprising a body having a cavity and a flange. The cavity comprises an opening having a central axis. The flange comprises bottom and top mounting surfaces and a centerline perpendicular to the central axis. The bottom mounting surface defines a first horizontal plane off-set from the central longitudinal axis. The flange further comprises a symmetric mounting hole pattern extending from the bottom mounting surface to the top mounting surface. The off-set and the symmetric mounting hole pattern allow a first use of the engine mount where the bottom surface of the flange is engaged directly with the engine mounting bracket and a second use of the engine mount where the top surface of the flange is engaged directly with the engine mounting bracket so that a different type of engine may be mounted.

  • Patent number: 9630485
Abstract: An engine mount for a motor vehicle that is capable of being mounted in two orientations such that it allows two different series of engine designs to be installed in the vehicle while maintaining prescribed mounting elevations for either series of engine design. The engine mount is accompanied by a second engine mount of identical design serving the same purpose of determining the engine's mount height, but also providing a second attachment to support the engine and bear engine loads. Both of these engine mounts are attached to the vehicle's body or frame and also incorporate other known hardware such as brackets, bushings, and other common mechanical fasteners.

  • Patent number: 8631139
Abstract: A system and method for automatically and dynamically initiating and establishing secure connections between a Server and a Client using a session control server (SCS). Both the Server and the Client are connected to an untrusted network (such as the Internet) through a Network Address Translator or Translation (NAT) router or a firewall. The SCS, independently trusted by both the Server and the Client, brokers the required connection parameters to establish a secure connection between the Server and the Client. The system and method does not require any user configuration on the Client and eliminates the need for the Server to accept explicit connection requests or packets from the Client, thereby allowing the Server firewall to always remain closed to all inbound traffic.

  • Patent number: 7393015
Abstract: The present apparatus and method relates to improvements in stiffening elements within a vehicle body structure at a sub-frame attachment point. In a first embodiment of the improved apparatus and method, a long mounting pin is used in combination with a generally planar shear bulkhead. The pin fits partially into a channel within the shear bulkhead. The pin is welded, near its bottom, to a sub-frame mounting bracket. The long mounting pin extends to the upper part of the vehicle frame and is also welded thereto. The shear bulkhead abuts a generally middle section of the mounting pin and two additional welds are placed securing the mounting pin to the shear bulkhead.

  • Patent number: 7261589
Abstract: An electrical connector for connecting a sheet-like member includes a housing (1) defining an insertion slot (10); a plurality of terminals (2) arranged in the housing in parallel relationship with a predetermined pitch, each of the terminals having a contact beam (22) extending into the insertion slot and a pivot beam (21) extending substantially parallel to the contact beam; and an actuator (3) rotatably provided for establishing an electrical connection between the sheet-like member and the contact beams. The actuator provides cam portions (31) each interposed between every other the pivot beam. Each of the cam portions provides shaft portions (32) respectively adapted for pivotably engaging with the pivot beams disposed therebeside. The shaft portions extending towards each other respectively from two adjacent cam portions are spaced to define a gap (33) therebetween.
