  • Publication number: 20240133228
Abstract: Barriers may utilize cores that may be pre-assembled and dropped into a barrier or may be formed within the barriers. The cores may include traditional core materials, biomass materials, graphite polystyrene (GPS) material, or other types of materials. The core may be formed from one or more layers, such as one or more stiffener layers (e.g., stiffener panel, stiffener rods, or the like), one or more matrix layers (e.g., with apertures extending therein), one or more solid layers (e.g., wood, plastic, composite, foam, fiber, or the like), one or more fluid sealed layers (e.g., air, argon, nitrogen, or other like), and/or other types of layers. The barrier edge members, the faces, and/or the core layers described herein may be assembled to each other in traditional ways, such as welding, and/or may be assembled to each other in a way that reduces the amount of welding and/or use of steel.

  • Publication number: 20240044202
Abstract: A door assembly provides EMC shielding to provide EMI/RFI protection. The door assembly has an EMC door frame, an EMC door, and EMC seals for maintaining a circuit between the door frame, the floor (e.g., threshold, flooring, etc.), and/or the door. The door assembly may also utilize one or more EMC elements (e.g., EMC tape, paint, adhesive, coatings, caulk, etc.) that may be used to create the circuits between the components of the door assembly and/or with other components of the building (e.g., between the door frame and the wall). The EMC shielding is used to reduce (e.g., limit, block, etc.) the levels of electrogenic interference (EMI)/radio frequency interference (RFI) radiation that is able to pass by the shielding. Moreover, the door assembly also provides improve additional door assembly performance (e.g., sound, weather, air flow, heat, cold, or the like abatement, energy harvesting, or other performance benefits).

  • Publication number: 20230224050
Abstract: A test system for testing a device under test is described. The test system includes a testing circuit and the device under test. The testing circuit is configured to establish a wireless connection with the device under test based on a wireless communication standard having a low energy protocol. The wireless connection includes a plurality of channels, wherein the plurality of channels is configured to transmit data packages between the testing circuit and the device under test. The testing circuit and the device under test are configured to communicate with each other via the plurality of channels by a channel hopping technique. A radio frequency (RF) level of a signal transmitted by the testing circuit in at least one test channel to be tested, which belongs to the plurality of channels, is lower than an RF level of a signal transmitted by the testing circuit in at least one other channel of the plurality of channels. Further, a test method of testing a device under test is described.

  • Publication number: 20230151675
Abstract: Composite door systems are provided for use in a protective barrier structure. The composite door systems provide for quick assembly, safety, security, and resistance to physical impacts or threats. The composite door systems may include a shell and a core that can be factory completed or finished on site. The shell may be shipped to the assembly location of the barrier structure, and the core may be formed on site by pouring liquid fill material into a cavity of the shell, which is allowed to cure into a solid fill material. Hardware housings may be operatively coupled to the shell that are made to receive door hardware but resist the liquid full material from filling the hardware housings. The shell, core, and/or hardware housings may provide resistance to damage, such as projectiles to provide enhanced security protection to the occupants or contents of the building structure.

  • Publication number: 20230146255
Abstract: Interactive panels are used to display information to one or more users that are interacting with the interactive panels. One or more detection devices (e.g., sensors, communication devices, or the like) detect that users may be located near the interactive panels. The information displayed to the users may be any type of information, such as user information, product information, entity information, area information, or other like information. The interactive panels may be used in any type of barrier, such as doors, walls, fee-standing structures within or outside of a building, adaptable panels that are moveable, or the like. The interactive panels may have energy harvesting layers that at least partially aid in powering the interactive panels and/or components thereof. The interactive panels may have protection layers that at least partially aid in protecting the displays and/or energy harvesting layers of the interactive panels from damage.
