  • Patent number: 12043354
Abstract: A towed array ballasting unit includes a canister, an internal bladder, an external bladder, a motor valve, fluid, a shroud, and printed circuit boards. The canister includes a head endcap and an aft endcap with the internal bladder located within and attached to an internal end of a fluid channel. An external bladder is located outside the canister and attached to an external end of the fluid channel. The motor valve is attached to the aft endcap of the canister and the internal end of fluid channel. The fluid moves between the internal bladder and external bladder via the fluid channel. The shroud forms a shell around the canister, external bladder, and a connector that connects the towed array ballasting system to an array tail. The printed circuit boards execute instructions provided by a computer.

  • Publication number: 20080282573
Abstract: Embodiments of a microwave dryer are disclosed which may be used to dry or heat materials such a sewage sludge. The microwave dryer uses a reciprocating ram to push the material through a loading section and into a treatment section where the material is subjected to microwaves to drive of liquid content. The material is then pushed into an unloading section where it is removed from the microwave dryer. The dryer may be tilted to adjust the rate of flow of material through the dryer. Air nozzles on the bottom of the dryer direct air such that air flow through the nozzles may also be used to adjust the flow rate of material.
