  • Patent number: 10418850
Abstract: A power supply system includes at least one power supply module and at least one redundant power supply module. A power supply module may include a charging resistor in parallel with an OR-ing device to keep all filter capacitors charged as long as at least one power supply module remains operational. This may avoid current spikes at turn on and may enable the redundant module to turn on without using soft start.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 7, 2017
Date of Patent: September 17, 2019
    Assignee: Intel Corporation
Inventors: Bill Carter, Brian Griffith, Viktor Vogman
  • Patent number: 10214294
Abstract: A method and system for predicting the potential for icing conditions on an outer surface of an airborne aircraft. Such a method and system may predict in real-time the potential for icing conditions on an outer surface of a wing of an autonomous airborne aircraft using observed temperature and relative humidity measurements, either jointly, or also in combination with at least one of (1) an output from at least one additional sensor relevant to the prediction of aircraft icing conditions and (2) a modeled parameter relevant to the prediction of aircraft icing conditions.

  • Patent number: 8549329
Abstract: According to some embodiments, power information associated with a computing system may be monitored. Based on the monitored power information, it may be determined whether a hardware memory throttling signal will be asserted and/or that a processor power control signal will be asserted.

  • Publication number: 20100077238
Abstract: An energy efficient power supply system is disclosed. The energy efficient power supply system comprises a plurality of power supply units and the power supply system may be coupled to the control logic. The control logic may be coupled to the power monitor unit. The power monitor unit may determine a power consumption value, which may represent power requirement of a power consuming system such as a computer system. The control logic may determine the power supply units of the plurality of power supply units that are to be activated to provide power to match the power requirement. The control logic may identify the power supply units that may be activated to operate at a maximum efficiency value while providing power specified by the power consumption value.

  • Publication number: 20070034524
Abstract: A maskant for use in an electrochemical stripping operation is provided. The maskant comprises an electrically conductive member, preferably one formed from a titanium based material, placed about a trailing edge of an airfoil portion of a turbine engine component. A method for removing a coating from a turbine engine component is also provided. The method comprises the steps of placing a maskant formed from an electrically conductive material, preferably a titanium based material, adjacent a trailing edge of an airfoil portion of the component, immersing the turbine engine component and the maskant into a bath, and electrochemically stripping the coating from unmasked portions of the turbine engine component.
