  • Patent number: 11911580
Abstract: Devices, systems for localized delivery of a chemotherapy, hormonal therapy or targeted drug/biologic therapy to a target tissue area of an internal body organ of a patient. A catheter 10 forms a sealed treatment chamber in a natural lumen extending through the target tissue area. Air is purged from the chamber, which is then filled with a liquid drug solution for an adequate treatment session time, solution volume and drug concentration to saturate the target tissue area, thereby providing the treatment. The liquid drug solution may be circulated or recirculated through the chamber or maintained stationary therewithin. The drug may saturate the target tissue area and pass therethrough into the lymphatic system or interstitial space, which may serve as a reservoir of the drug for continued therapeutic treatment after withdrawal of the catheter. The chamber is evacuated at the end of the treatment session.

  • Publication number: 20240041302
Abstract: An endoscope having an outer sheath, a handle, an optical window and an optical module. The outer sheath includes a lumen extending between a proximal end and a distal end thereof. The handle is mounted at the proximal end of the outer sheath and includes an external data connector. The optical window is removably and sealingly mounted at the distal end of the outer sheath. The optical module is removably disposed within the distal end of the outer sheath and includes an integrated image sensor, an optical lens, and an optical module connector. The optical module connector is configured for selective disconnection from and reconnection to a mating line connector in electrical communication with the external data connector of the handle. The optical module and the outer sheath further include one or more alignment features configured to ensure correct radial and axial positioning.

  • Publication number: 20230105241
Abstract: An endoscope having an insertion tube with a distal optical module and a releasable handle. In a semi-robotic embodiment, the handle comprises haptic controllers and a computer configured for steering and/or adjusting physical properties of the insertion tube in response to one or more command inputs from the haptic controllers. The computer may also convert image data received from the optical module into two-dimensional images displayable on a monitor. The endoscope may have inertial measurement units (IMUs) for providing data to the computer for creating a digital three-dimensional image representation of an anatomy model and/or for facilitating handling properties of the endoscope.

  • Publication number: 20230073301
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for localized delivery of a chemotherapy, hormonal therapy or targeted drug/biologic therapy to a target tissue area of an internal body organ of a patient. A catheter forms a sealed treatment chamber in a natural lumen extending through the target tissue area. Air is purged from the chamber, which is then filled with a liquid drug solution for an adequate treatment session time, solution volume and drug concentration to saturate the target tissue area, thereby providing the treatment. The drug concentration in the liquid soaking solution may be formulated to approximate the known maximum plasma concentration achieved during systemic delivery of the same drug. An integrated pressure relief circuit may be included to avoid unsafe pressure levels in the isolated chamber. The chamber is evacuated at the end of the treatment session.

  • Publication number: 20230049856
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for localized delivery of a chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, or targeted drug/biologic therapy to a target tissue area of an internal body organ of a patient. Computer systems may be used for planning and navigation in super selective drug delivery via a tracheobronchial airway. A catheter may be used to form a sealed treatment chamber in a natural lumen extending through the target tissue area. Air is purged from the chamber, which is then filled with a liquid drug solution for an adequate treatment session time, solution volume and drug concentration to saturate the target tissue area, thereby providing the treatment. The liquid drug solution may be circulated or recirculated through the chamber or maintained stationary therewithin to saturate the target tissue area. • Publication number: 20220395166
Abstract: An endoscopy system having a low-profile multi-imager endoscope. The system is capable of using computational photography to provide enhanced output images using techniques such as super-resolution, foveation, magnification, and two-dimensional to three-dimensional conversion. The enhanced output images can improve clinical decision making and patient treatment. Signals from multiple imagers may be used to affect/adjust handing characteristics of the endoscope or direct semi-robotic guidance thereof.
