Abstract: An improved, portable and directional snow-making apparatus of the type consisting of an inner pipe and an outer jacket provides an optimum geometry to both the inner pipe and outer jacket for optimum snow formation. Directional facility is attained by means of a carefully-controlled ratio between the apertures in the outer pipe relative to the apertures in the inner pipe, as well as a dual pair of adjustable legs. The diameter of the pipe apertures controls the spray pattern of the snow, whereas the legs can be adjusted to accommodate the snow formation relative to the pitch of the ski trail.
