  • Publication number: 20200354972
Abstract: The decking anchors have a web anchor and a flange anchor that are operatively coupled together. In an assembly position, the web anchor and the flange anchor may be oriented in the same plane. After insertion into the cavity of the decking, the flange anchor may contact the upper flange of the decking, the web anchor may be rotated (e.g., after moving vertically upward while the flange anchor remains stationary), the web anchor may engage the webs of the decking (e.g., after moving vertically downward while the flange anchor remains stationary), and a stop may be operatively coupled to the web anchor and the flange anchor, in order to secure the web anchor and the flange anchor to each other while the web anchor contacts the webs and the flange anchor contacts the upper flange to form an anchor within the decking that has loading resistance in all directions.

  • Patent number: 10808403
Abstract: The invention relates to structural panel systems which utilize different configurations to increase the flexibility of the panel systems. The increased flexibility of the panel systems may be achieved through the use of improved connection patterns and/or improved sidelap strength. The improved sidelap strength may be achieved through the use of a reinforcing member between edges of the panels or other sidelap configurations that improve the strength of the system along the sidelaps. The increased flexibility may also be achieved through the use of orienting flutes of the panels in the same direction as the supports members of the panel systems. The different aspects of the invention that improve the flexibility of the systems may be utilized alone or in combination with each other to improve the wall panel systems or roof panel systems, or combinations thereof, to improve the displacement capacity of the panel systems for in-plane shear loading.

  • Patent number: 10654563
Abstract: A method for operating a landing gear. The method includes extending an actuator to apply a force to a crank link of a toggle lock mechanism causing a mechanical unlocking of a second lock link from a fully extended position, retracting the actuator to rotate the toggle lock mechanism about a toggle lock pivot axis of a first lock link, causing rotation of the second lock link that is rotatably coupled to the first lock link so that the second lock link folds relative to the first lock link in a second rotation direction, and a toggle link of the toggle lock mechanism rotates relative to the second lock link, in the first rotation direction opposite the second rotation direction, to rotate the second lock link to a fully retracted position of the second lock link relative to the first lock link.

  • Publication number: 20190351158
Abstract: Inhaled medications present a great opportunity for controlled drug delivery for self medicated patients. With this invention most medicinal aerosol generators have the potential for much more controlled dosage and monitoring of doses to the patient than current inhaled medication systems. The pressurized metered dose inhaler has especially great potential for controlled drug delivery being that the aerosol drug formulation is in a permanently sealed container that can use a digital program controlled electromechanical valve on a metered dose inhaler to control drug dose and time of release. An electromechanical inhaler valve actuator can also provide dose control, monitoring, breath activation timing and other important features.

  • Patent number: 10465384
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include structural decking systems with at least a four-layered seam and methods for manufacturing and assembling structural decking systems with at least four-layered seams. The decking panels may be provided with an edge having an exposed “male lip” with two layers, and an opposite edge having a “female lip” with two layers. Individual panels may be coupled together by placing the female lip of a first panel over the male lip of an adjacent panel, thus creating an unjoined seam. In order to couple the panels together, the panels may be secured through various couplings configurations. The couplings may be formed by deforming, cutting, and/or welding the seam. Not only do the couplings help prevent vertical separation between adjacent panels, the couplings minimize lateral shifting along the seam, and ensure a desired level of shear strength in the seam and across the structural decking system.

  • Publication number: 20190331300
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for improved high pressure processing of parts and materials with fast cycle time, clean operation, and easy to change pressure vessels. Applications include but are not limited to pressure vessels for critical point drying of MEMS or SEM samples, parts cleaning, supercritical fluid extraction, and aerogel processing. In a specific embodiment, the pressure vessel can operate near or above the critical pressure and temperature of a fluid in the pressure vessel for parts processing. This includes critical point drying of MEMS or SEM samples in an easy to use processing pressure chamber system.

  • Patent number: 10316519
Abstract: The invention relates to structural panel systems with at least a four-layered generally in-plane sidelap, at least a three layer generally in-plane sidelap, or corner sidelaps of various layers, and methods for manufacturing and assembling structural panel systems with these types of sidelaps. The structural panels may be provided with an edge having a “lower lip” with two layers, and an opposite edge having an “upper lip” with two layers. Individual panels may be coupled together by placing the upper lip of a first panel over the lower lip of an adjacent panel, thus creating an un-joined sidelap. The lips may have nested portions for helping to place one lip over the other. The panels may be operatively coupled through various couplings configurations, such as fasteners, welding, cutting the sidelap, or the like. The present invention improves the shear strength of the structural panel system and reduces costs.

  • Patent number: 10293920
Abstract: A landing gear lock assembly includes a first lock link, and a second lock link, a first end of the second lock link being rotatably coupled to the second end of the first lock link so that the first and second lock links unfold relative to each other in a first rotation direction. A toggle lock mechanism has a crank link and a toggle link rotatably coupled to each other, the toggle link being rotatably coupled to the second lock link, and the crank link being rotatably coupled to the first lock link so that the toggle link rotates relative to the second lock link, in a direction opposite the first rotation direction, to rotate the second lock link to a fully extended position relative to the first lock link. Rotation of the toggle link mechanically locks the second lock link in the fully extended position.

  • Patent number: 10186816
Abstract: A bracket and associated components provides a means to securely install one or more connectors within a dropped ceiling. The bracket can be mounted to a drop wire or threaded rod within a ceiling space, thereby suspending the bracket and associated connectors within the ceiling space. One or more connectors coupled to a cable can be directly installed on the bracket via port windows cut into the bracket. Alternatively, a surface mount box containing connectors can be mounted on the bracket to yield a protected, strain-resistant connector installation within the ceiling space. The bracket and associated components can be made of plenum-rated materials, making the mounting solution suitable for installations within plenum spaces.
