  • Publication number: 20170206510
Abstract: Methods and apparatus inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and replacing infrastructure assets, including any and all physical apparatus, devices, and objects therein, rely on both internal data analyzed for components as assets, but also scoring them for actual condition, by incorporating analyses of maintenance and repair data on operations improving lifetimes. Prediction modeling of lifetimes remaining originates from analysis of data originating from manufacturer testing, expert systems, similitude with external components and systems, which may be compared to lifetimes analyzed for actual assets in order to do servicing from inspection, maintenance, and repair, through replacement.

  • Publication number: 20140350992
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for computational aggregation of information from an infrastructure system process by analytical programs tracking condition, maintenance, and scoring for both. An integrated score provides additional insights into actual real-life expectations for continued operation for an infrastructure asset. The system may be accessed over a presentation interface that permits “what if” testing, searching for similarly situated assets, incorporation of actual data of inspections and maintenance efforts, as well as data from similarly situated environments and systems. The information may be processed through numerical methods systems and statistical modules in order to obtain correlations, calculations, and predictions of useful life of assets and systems of assets.

  • Publication number: 20060248055
Abstract: A system and method for analysis of portfolios of documents is presented. The portfolios may comprise patent-related documents, academic articles, product literature, or any other textual material. In one aspect of the invention, a user-defined classification schema is developed, and predictions for associations with classifications from the user-defined classification schema are used directly, or compared for two portfolios via an analysis computer program. In yet another aspect of the invention, the results from the automatic classifier are combined with a custom classification schema to find and rank related documents. In yet another aspect of the invention, a citation computer program compares citation statistics between entire portfolios of documents. In yet another aspect of the invention, two aspects of the invention can be combined, such that citation statistics are presented for documents that have been classified.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 28, 2005
    Publication date: November 2, 2006
    Applicant: Microsoft Corporation
Inventors: Brian Haslam, David Andrews, Susan Dumais, Danielle Holmes

  • Patent number: 5896892
Abstract: A conduit covering system is provided including a cover having a pair of planar faces and a periphery formed therebetween. The periphery has a pair of circular portions with a pair of intermediate portions formed therebetween. The cover further includes a pair of cap side walls each having a hollow cylindrical configuration. Each cap side wall is integrally coupled to the corresponding circular portion of the periphery and extends therefrom to define a circular opening. As such, the circular openings of the cover are adapted to releasably receive ends of a pair of conduits.
