  • Publication number: 20050161136
Abstract: A tire inflation system for a portal drive axle assembly includes fluid flow passages that are formed within rotating wheel shafts, which drive a pair of wheel end assemblies. The portal drive axle assembly includes a driving input that drives a pair of axle shafts. A wheel gear assembly operably couples each axle shaft to the respective wheel shaft. The wheel gear assemblies transfer the driving force from the axle shafts to the wheel shafts, which are positioned at different vertical location relative to the axle shafts. A first end of each wheel shaft is in fluid communication with a vehicle air supply and a second end of each wheel shaft is in fluid communication with a tire assembly. Seal assemblies are mounted for rotation with the wheel shaft at the first end of the wheel shafts.

  • Publication number: 20050083186
Abstract: A loose wheel detection assembly includes a sensor assembly secured to a mounting hub. The sensor detects relative movement between the hub and the wheel and emits a signal indicative of the sensed movement. The signal is received by a controller that processes the received information and alerts a vehicle operator of the relative movement through a warning device within the vehicle cabin.

  • Publication number: 20020107772
Abstract: An aspect of the present invention includes a protocol for conveying data during an e-commerce session with a polymorphic response, comprising initiating a session with a message from a buyer application to a broker application and a session identifier assigned by the broker application; conducting the session between the buyer application and a supplier application; and concluding the session with a additional message which includes a schema identifier for the additional message, resolvable in a context of a system identifier; and a polymorphic response comprising a type and a version, wherein the polymorphic response includes additional data elements corresponding to values assigned to the type and version.

  • Patent number: 6080457
Abstract: A smoke filter consists of substrate threads and/or strips each pre-coated with particulate sorbent (e.g. activated carbon granules), gathered together in solid or tubular rod form e.g. within a containing sleeve. When the gathered threads and/or strips form a tubular body, this may be provided with a core.
